F3 Naperville Foundation Board Members
Meet the volunteer board members that operate the F3 Naperville Foundation.
Chairman
Patrick founded F3 Naperville in 2017 and was privileged to have served as its first leader. In late 2018, he helped found the F3 Naperville Foundation to help broaden the reach and impact that F3 Naperville will have on the local community. His 20 year professional career has been spent in management consulting, and most recently in executive search consulting. When his work day is over, you will usually find him coaching his kids in their various sports teams. Patrick is a proud graduate of Marquette University, where he graduated with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He lives in Aurora, IL with his wife Lori and their 3 children.
Secretary
Mike Olson (aka “Daisy”) jumped into the deep end of all that the community of F3 has to offer in June of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. He calls the ‘Iron Lion’ location in Lisle his second home and has helped Grow and Serve that location over the years in multiple roles. Mike is an EVP at Executive Construction Inc, has been with the company over 20 years, and is currently focused on Tenant Interiors, Special Projects, Risk Management, and Operations. He also currently serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 507, is on the planning committee for the annual Three Fires Council Naperville Leadership Breakfast, and serves on the board for Love Your Neighbor. A well-connected contributor within his communities, Mike is always keeping an eye open for ways to help connect the men of F3 Naperville with the people in his personal and professional network. In his downtime he enjoys shooting and hunting with his kids. ‘Daisy’ resides in Lisle with his wife Becky, sons Jacob (15) and Ethan (13), and their dogs Lily…….and Daisy.
Chief Development Officer
Michael Ruffing (“Uncle Rico”) was enlightened to the F3 Naperville universe in 2018, quickly being called upon to serve on their Shared Leadership Team as their Commz Q in 2019. Since 2021 Michael has been a Cadre in the GrowRuck program, the premier F3 leadership development event, travelling around the country leading overnight endurance events to help other men develop leadership principles, transfer positive habits, and unlock their potential and purpose. Michael served on the Naperville Jaycees’ Donations Committee from 2017-2019 and was the Chair of the Committee in ‘18-19. Michael is currently the Senior Sales Director at Competiscan and has lived in Naperville since 2012 with his wife, Leslie, and two daughters, Lucy (10) and Ellie (7).
Chief Risk Officer
Bob Happ joined F3 Naperville in October 2017 as “Bob Ross” and has served in multiple leadership roles, including as 3rdF Q on the first Shared Leadership Team. He is also a Founding Director of the F3 Naperville Foundation. With decades of experience in Sales and Management across diverse industries, Bob now sells IT Services & Software solutions throughout the Midwest. A passionate artist, he runs a growing commercial illustration business. Bob earned his BA in Business and MBA in Marketing from Aurora University, complemented by an art background from Northern Illinois University. A longtime resident of Aurora, IL, Bob lives with his wife Marissa, and together they celebrate their family of five adult children and twelve grandchildren spread across the country — from New York City to Los Angeles.
Chief Financial Officer
Mike joined F3 Naperville as “Leuben” in early 2018 and has had held various roles supporting the region’s explosive growth. He served as part of the regional growth team in 2019 and as the SLT’s Weasel Shaker in 2020. Mike is currently the Chief Transformation Officer for West Star Aviation and has ~20 years of experience developing and executing large transformative initiatives across multiple of industries. He holds a B.S. in engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana and an MBA in finance from DePaul University. Mike is a long-time Naperville resident where he currently resides with his wife Blythe and their 2 daughters.
Chief Strategy Officer
Nick started working out with F3 Naperville in 2021. He has held various roles in the group including Site Q, 2nd F Q, and most recently as a board member for the F3 Naperville Foundation Board. Nick has allocated a lot of his time over the years to various non-profit organizations. Including AMITA Mercy Medical Center – Former Chairman of the Board, First Tee of Aurora and Fox Valley – Former Board Member, Triple Threat Mentoring – Former Junior Board Co-Chair and volunteer, Jarrett Payton Foundation – Committee Member, and the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation – Volunteer. Nick’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from St. Ambrose University and an MBA from Aurora University. He also holds the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ®. Nick is one of the founding members of Clear Perspective Advisors located in Aurora, St. Charles & Rockford. He is originally from the Quad Cities, but now resides in Naperville with his wife Raquel, their two children, and their loyal dog Kobe.
