0 Score and 5 years ago the founders of F3 Naperville brought upon a new type of pain to the PAX in the form of Lincoln Games.

If F3 is recess for men, Lincoln Games is the annual kickball tournament. It’s a 6-day blitz of a competition to work as a team to earn as many points as possible to win the illustrious prize of absolutely nothing. Or is it nothing?

Some guys love Lincoln Games because of the comradery. Some guys love Lincoln Games because of the physical challenge. Some guys love Lincoln Games because of the competitive aspect of it, both team and individual. Some guys love Lincoln Games because of the smack talking. Some guys love the swag and some guys just can’t pick what they love the most. The bottomline is that no one who participates in Lincoln Games comes out on the other side saying, “Boy, was that a waste of time.”

Lincoln Games’ mission is to push PAX out of their comfort zone; encouraging them to explore different AOs in the region; interact more with other PAX and be an active contributing member of our community.

If you post once a month, Lincoln Games is for you. If you post 8 times a week, Lincoln Games is for you. If you’ve got an injury and are only able to participate in the social stuff, Lincoln Games is for you. If you’re travelling for work all week and not able to post in F3 Naperville but can do some daily challenges and extra credit, Lincoln Games is for you. If you’ve never participated in Lincoln Games and aren’t sure if Lincoln Games is for you, Lincoln Games is for you.

F3 is more than a workout and Lincoln Games is meant to be a reflection of that so LFG!!

Lincoln Games 2025 May 12 to May 17
6th Annual Lincoln Games takes place from May 12, 2025 to May 17, 2025.

Summary

What: It is arguably the greatest competition the world has ever and will ever know. Lincoln Games is a team competition that challenges PAX to unite as a team, expand their comfort zones, explore different AOs, interact with more HIMs and be an active, contributing member of their community. As PAX participate in events, they will earn points for their team and individual scores. The winning team will be the team with the most points at the end of Lincoln Games. The winning PAX will be the PAX with the most points at the end of Lincoln Games. Additional awards are detailed below.

Why: F3 is more than a workout and one of the best ways to showcase that is with an intense, spirited competition that taps into each of the 3 Fs.

Who: Any PAX can and should participate in Lincoln Games. If you are an active PAX, you should HC for Lincoln Games to be eligible for The Chaos Draft. More eligibility details provided further down. Kotters may be recruited to teams between The Chaos Draft and the end of Lincoln Games. Written consent is required.

When (Lincoln Games): The week of Lincoln Games runs from 00:01 A.M. Monday, May 12th 2025 – 23:59 P.M. Saturday May 19th 2025.

When (Pregaming) NEW!: PAX may earn PREGAMING points starting March 1st, 2025. Click here to learn more.

When (HCing): PAX will be able to HC to Lincoln Games starting 00:01 on March 1st, 2025 through 23:59 on April 18th, 2025. Click here to HC.

When (Right Hand PAX Draft) NEW!: The Right Hand PAX Draft will be held Sunday, April 13th, 2025 (virtual; captains only).

When (The Chaos Draft): The Chaos Draft will be held Sunday, April 27th, 2025 in person at Mistwood Golf Dome and will be live-streamed on F3 Naperville’s YouTube Channel.

Where: Lincoln Games is a F3 Naperville-based team competition but may include PAX from any region. PAX may earn points by completing pre-defined Lincoln Games events outdoors. See more details below regarding the structure and requirements of these events.

Captains: The SLT of F3 Naperville will select 20 HIMS to captain a Lincoln Games team prior to April 1st, 2025.

Teams: Teams will be comprised of Active PAX, Kotters and FNGs. Once The Chaos Draft (and all auto drafting) is complete, SLT will implement a team size cap.

Active PAX:  For the purposes of Lincoln Games only, an Active PAX is one who has posted within 90 days prior to April 18th, 2025 (January 18th onwards). If a PAX is active in a Down Range region, he is an Active PAX.

Kotter: For the purposes of Lincoln Games, A PAX who has not posted at any F3 AO within 90 days of being added to a Lincoln Games team (hasn’t posted since January 17th or before).  Kotters may be added starting the day AFTER The Chaos Draft until the last day of Lincoln Games. If you intend to add a Kotter to your team, you must advise Stay-puft so he can add the Kotter’s name to your team correctly. You may talk to a Kotter and strategize with a Kotter before adding him to your team but, again, you may not add a Kotter until after the Chaos Draft (April 28th)

FNG: A PAX who does not have a F3 name on or before April 18th. A FNG may be added to your team as a free agent if his FNG date is between April 19th  and the final day of Lincoln Games. A PAX who has his FNG date before April 18th will be considered an *Active PAX.

Free agents UPDATED!: Kotters and FNGs are the only eligible ‘free agents’.

Drafting: There will be two drafts this year. The first draft will be the Right Hand PAX Draft and will be one round only. The Right Hand PAX Draft will allow each captain to select the first PAX to join his team two weeks before The Chaos Draft. The Chaos Draft will be held (live) and captains will select additional members to their teams from the pool of PAX who HC’d. The Chaos Draft needs no introduction…it’s freaking awesome. Try to make it. More details below. Click Here

Scoring: Points are earned and counted towards total team scores as well as towards individual scores. The majority of points are earned during the week of Lincoln Games. Some points (2nd F and 3rd F activities) can be earned in advance of the week of Lincoln Games. The Weasel Shaker will communicate with captains on how points are recorded leading up to and throughout the week of Lincoln Games. Click here for much more detail below on how points are earned.

Gear: Pax will have the option to buy a team shirt from Frontline Gear. If you would like your shirt ready before Lincoln Games begins, the deadline to commit is April 22nd, 2025. Frontline Gear may offer a second run of shirts following Lincoln Games if there is enough interest.

  • Subsequent awards and order will be determined at the 1st F Q’s discretion.
  • PAX may only select from the prize pool once.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Any PAX may participate in Lincoln Games. There are, however, different eligibility rules based on regional affiliation as well as your FNG or Kotter status. Details below.

Core Region

  • F3 Naperville is the founder and core region of Lincoln Games.

Down Range Region

  • A F3 Region that does not wish to participate, as a region, in Lincoln Games.
  • Individual PAX from a Down Range Region may choose to participate in Lincoln Games. They will be considered a Down range PAX and must HC to participate in LG25.

F3 Naperville PAX

  • A F3 Naperville PAX is a PAX who has 50% or more posts in the F3 Naperville Region for the past 6 months than any other F3 region as of April 18th, 2025 (October 18, 2024 onward).
  • For example, if a PAX has 50 posts in F3 Naperville and 50 posts in F3 Outlands as of April 18th, 2025, he will be considered a F3 Naperville PAX by Lincoln Games ruling.

‘Active’ F3 Naperville PAX

  • For the purposes of Lincoln Games, an Active F3 Naperville PAX is a PAX who has posted at any F3 AO within the 90 days prior to April 18th, 2025 (January 18th onward).
  • Any Active F3 Naperville PAX that does HC to Lincoln Games will be eligible to be drafted during The Chaos Draft (the good old fashioned way).
  • All Active F3 Naperville PAXs that HC but are not drafted during The Chaos Draft will be auto drafted to a Lincoln Games team.
  • If an Active F3 Naperville PAXs does not HC nor MO, he will be auto drafted to a Lincoln Games team.

F3 Naperville Kotter

  • For the purposes of Lincoln Games, A F3 Naperville Kotter is a PAX who (a) has posted more in F3 Naperville than any other region for the past 6 months and who (b) has NOT posted at any AO within 90 days of April 18th, 2025 (January 18th onward).
  • A F3 Naperville Kotter may HC and be included in The Chaos Draft (if he HCs) or may be recruited to a team after The Chaos Draft without HCing (as a free agent).
  • Kotters may be added to a Lincoln Games team between The Chaos Draft and the end of Lincoln Games.
  • Someone must advise Stay-puft that the Kotter will be added to the their team for the FNG’s points to count

FNGs

  • For the purposes of Lincoln Games, a FNG is a PAX whose first post is between ‘the close of the HC window’ and the last day of Lincoln Games (April 19th – May 19th).
  • A FNG may be recruited to a team between ‘the close of the HC window’ and the last day of Lincoln Games (April 19th – May 19th) as a free agent.
  • Someone must advise Stay-puft that a FNG will be added to the their team for the FNG’s points to count
  • For clarity, if a PAX has his FNG post the Friday before the HC window closes (April 18th) and is activated in Slack (and presumably does not HC to Lincoln Games), he will be auto drafted to a Lincoln Games team as he meets the Active F3 Naperville PAX criteria.
  • For the purposes of Lincoln Games, there is no real difference in eligibility or requirements between F3 Naperville FNGs and Down Range FNGs provided that the PAX who EH’d the FNG is on a Lincoln Games team (each PAX must post twice his score to count)
  • Remember PAX may be traded between the Chaos Draft and the start of Lincoln Games so an Active PAX that was FNG’d before the HC window closed and was drafted to a team could be traded to the team of the PAX who EH’d him. That said, being part of a new Lincoln Games team can also be is a great way to meet new guys and get the full experience of the games.
  • A Down Range PAX is a PAX who has 50% or more posts in a region other than F3 Naperville for the previous 6 months as of April 25th, 2025.
  • For example, if a PAX has 50 posts in F3 Naperville and 51 posts in F3 Outlands as of April 18th, 2025, he will be considered a Down Range PAX by Lincoln Games ruling.
  • Down Range PAX  must HC to be eligible to participate in Lincoln Games.

Down Range Kotters

  • A Down Range Kotter is a Down Range PAX who (a) has 50% or more posts in a region other than F3 Naperville for the previous 6 months as of April 25th, 2025.
  •  Down Range Kotters are treated the same as Down Range Active PAX for the purposes of Lincoln Games. Both must HC to participate in Lincoln Games.

2.0s

  • 2.0s may participate in Lincoln Games
  • For the purposes of Lincoln Games, a 2.0 is the child of a PAX AND does not have his own Slack handle
  • Once a PAX is drafted to a team, his 2.0(s) automatically become a part of that team
  • A 2.0 must post 2 times for his points to count
  • For simplicity, 2.0s will have their own row on the team’s scoring tracker
  • If a team goes over the size cap, the 2.0 will NOT be count toward the total team PAX count.

Captains

  • Captains will be selected by the 1st F Q.
  • There will be approximately 20 captains/teams.

Right Hand PAX (UPDATED)

  • AKA the first round draft pick.
  • Any PAX may be drafted as a Right Hand PAX, regardless of HC status or Active/Kotter/Down Range status.
  • Right Hand PAX will be drafted two weeks before other PAX are drafted to a team.

Qing

  • For F3 Naperville, Q signups will open on a random date to be determined by the 1st F Q and will be publicly announced in advance on the F3 Naperville Slack channel
  • Qs leading black diamond workouts will NOT earn Q points for their team since these workouts and locations were planned ahead of the draft.
  • Qing workouts outside of the F3 Naperville region will not be eligible for Q points.

HOW TO EARN IMAGINARY POINTS FOR PRIDE

HOW CAN I SCORE POINTS DURING A REGULAR WORKOUT?

Standard Workout

  • You will score 6 points for attending a standard F3 workout.
  • During this week of Lincoln Games, we WILL offer our Late Start and Black Diamond options.

Black Diamonds (UPDATED)

  • You will score 9 points  for attending a Black Diamond workout.
  • There will be 5 Black Diamond workouts this week.
  • Locations will be provided ahead of time for planning purposes.

Post Quota (UPDATED)

  • You must post twice during Lincoln Games for your points/score to count.
  • You may post in any region.
  • Virtual posting will not count for Lincoln Games.

Late Starts (UPDATED)

  • Late Starts Posts will count for the same amount of points as Early Start Posts
  • For the duration of Lincoln Games, Last Start AOs will be recognized as the same AO as Early Start
  • Example: Complex and LS Complex are the same AO.

Double/Triple Taps

  • Double & Triple Taps are allowed.
  • Each post will count for 6 points (BD 9 pts).
  • If another region has a late start you can go to it and it will count the same as the post would have counted in Naperville; this includes Down Range Black Diamonds.
  • If you double tap, you MUST STAY FOR NoR at both posts to get credit. If you have time to double tap, you have time for NoR. This is purely to help our Site Qs capture everyone who attended.

Qing

  • You may score an additional 5 pts for Qing a workout at a F3 Naperville AO.
  • Qing at a Down Range AO does NOT count towards Lincoln Games points.
  • Q slots for the week of Lincoln Games are blocked off and will be released at a later time.
  • You may only try to reserve one Q spot.
  • Once you secure a Q spot you may not attempt to secure others for your teammates.
  • If you accidentally secure two Q spots and do not release one immediately (e.g. if the 1st F Q has to get involved), you will not be eligible to earn any points for Qing. Furthermore, if you secure more than one spot, Wine In A Box will come to your first Q and slap you in public. Ignorance is not an excuse.

  • A regular (36 pound) coupon you’ll need approximately 278 reps
  • A big boy (54 pound) coupon you’ll need approximately 186 reps

  • Complete the Daily 4 lifting exercise for that day for 3 points (move 10,000 pounds)
  • DOUBLE UP THE REPS for an additional 4 points. (move a total of 20,000 pounds for 7 points)
  • You may set the coupon/sandbag down to catch your breath, but this must be completed in one shot, not incrementally throughout the day.
  • If you do this alone, you must record the whole lifting session and post the video to the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel.
    • There are apps available that allow you to speed up a video (and shrink the file size); you may use such an app and upload the sped up version. You may be asked for the original, full-length recording so save those videos until after scoring is finalized at the end of the week.
  • If you do this with another PAX (e.g. before or after a post), you do NOT need a video recording of your lifting. However you, or someone with whom you are completing the Daily 4 lifting exercise, must (a) take a group selfie of everyone who participated, (b) post the selfie picture to the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel and © tag each participant in that evidence post.
  • For planning purposes, it’ll take 5 minutes to complete the one shot and 10+ minutes to double up.

NOTE: This must be completed OUTSIDE with a standard, Big Boy Coupon or sand bag to keep the spirit of F3 in the competition.

For every PAX member that attends a team dinner or social gathering at a non chain restaurant or at a fellow teammate’s residence. Post a picture on the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel. Each Pax in attendance will receive 1 point. Only one attempt will count and at least 50% of the team has to be in attendance. If the team gathering includes one of the Daily 4, you may also count that towards a PPP point. For example, if you combine a team dinner with a team Daily 4 ruck, each PAX is eligible to receive their Daily 4 points + 1 PPP point in addition to the points earned for the team gathering.

FNGs and Kotter’s List

Any team that brings an FNG(s) or PAX off the Kotter’s List gets 5 bonus points per FNG/Kotter and gets to add them to the team’s roster. To be clear, FNG and Kotter bonus points only go towards the team’s score. This is both a 2nd and 3rd F category so it only makes sense that these bonus points go towards the team’s score, not individual scores.

FNGs and Lincoln Games Kotters can be added starting the day after the draft through the end of Lincoln Games.

A Lincoln Games Kotter is a PAX who has been inactive for 90+ days from the date he is recruited to a Lincoln Games team. Example: if a PAX is inactive for 90+ days in F3 Naperville but is in active status in F3 Plainfield, he is not a Kotter (he is a Down Range PAX). A Kotter may not be added to a team’s roster if he is in active status. A Kotter must provide written agreement that he will join a specific LG team BEFORE being added to that team. This agreement does not need to be posted in the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel but should be available upon request. Once a Kotter agrees to join a team, he may not switch to another team. This has been an issue in the past and we’re all about consent up in here.

For clarity, FNGs and Kotters will be held to the two-post requirement during the week of Lincoln Games, similar to ‘active PAX’.

DAILY POP-UPS

Pay Attention for Daily pop-up points throughout the week on Slack and social media too! 5 points each pop up.

Prize Pool

Give a donation of your favorite Premium Beverage to your team captain by the end of Lincoln Games to be added to the Prize Pool.  5 points each Pax who participates. Beverages can be non alcoholic but must be something premium or special or unique such as a fancy coffee ground or energy supplement. The order how the winnings will get disbursed will be announced by the end of Lincoln Games.

PREGAMING

This is a newly added category that allows PAX to earn LG points before the competition officially begins just for getting involved in 2nd F and 3rd F events. F3 is more than a workout and Lincoln Games is meant to be a reflection of all 3 Fs.

Pregaming points can be accrued in different ways between March 1st and May 11st (2025), see details below. Pregaming points can be earned on a monthly basis. This means that if you can’t participate in a 2nd F event in March, you cannot participate in 2 x 2nd F events in April to make up for it. Pregaming points will be visible leading up to and during the draft so captains will know who is coming into Lincoln Games with points already accrued. Since Lincoln Games starts the 2nd week in May, you may earn Pregaming points in May.

2nd F PREGAMING

You may earn 2nd F pregaming points between March 1, 2025 and the first day of Lincoln Games (May 11, 2025).

5 points for attending an SLT approved event (max 5 pregaming points per month)

  • Examples:
    • F2 Lunch
    • Indoor soccer
    • Sunday Coffee Ruck
    • Lincoln Games Draft Night

Got an idea for an event you want to suggest or lead? Awesome!

  • Submit your idea to SLT (Second F Q AND The First F Q)1
  • After SLT approval, submit a pre-blast on Slack2
  • Pre-blast must be at least 24 hours in advance of the event
  • Pre-blasts should be posted within the respective Slack channels (e.g. 2nd F and 3rd F channels) but maybe plugged elsewhere
  • The Q of the event must post a backblast with name and a picture(s) after the event on the 2nd F channel
  • 2nd F Events can take place 7 days/week

1Clearly explain the proposed event and how it adds to our second pillar, Fellowship

2If you submit a request to SLT for approval and do not receive a response within 48 hours of sending the request, you may consider the request approved and proceed. If you post a pre-blast before SLT approval, the event can take place but it will not be eligible for points towards Lincoln Games regardless of how noble the cause. This is a competition and rules matter.

3rd F PREGAMING

You may earn 3rd F pregaming points between March 1, 2025 and the first day of Lincoln Games (May 11, 2025).

5 points for attending an approved 3rd F event (max 5 pregaming points per month)

  • Examples:
    • Feed My Starving Children
    • Love Your Neighbor
    • Blood Donation (note: be safe – make sure you are safe to resume strenuous activity before any 1st F activities after donation)
    • Achieving CPR Certification
    • Becoming a Sponsor of the F3N 5K, Celtic Classic, Golf Outing, or Frontline OCR.

Note: Got something going on in the community that you want to volunteer for? Awesome!

  • Submit your idea to SLT in a Slack DM (Third F Q AND First F Q)3
  • After SLT approval, submit a pre-blast on Slack4
  • Pre-blast must be at least 24 hours in advance of the event
  • Pre-blasts should be posted within the respective Slack channels (e.g. 2nd F and 3rd F channels) but maybe plugged elsewhere
  • The Q of the event must post a backblast with names and a picture(s) after the event
  • Events can take place 7 days/week

3Clearly explain the proposed event and how it adds to our third pillar, Faith.

4If you submit a request to SLT for approval and do not receive a response within 48 hours of sending the request, you may consider the request approved and proceed to post a pre-blast. If you post a pre-blast before approval, the event can take place but it will not be eligible for points towards Lincoln Games regardless of how noble the cause. This is a competition and rules matter.

LOGGING PREGAMING POINTS

In addition to posting Pregaming evidence in the Lincoln Games Evidence Only channel, each PAX will be required to update the Pregaming Points Tracker

PREGAMING 2ND F MAX POINTS: 15 points (1 event = 5 pts per month x 3 months)

PREGAMING 3RD F MAX POINTS: 15 points (1 event = 5 pts per month x 3 months)

DRAFTING (UPDATED)

There will be two separate drafts. The first draft will be referred to as The Right Hand PAX Draft. The second draft will be referred to as The Chaos Draft.

  • The Right Hand Man Draft will be held Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
  • The Chaos Draft will be held Sunday, April 27th, 2025.

Right Hand PAX Draft

The Right Hand PAX Draft will allow each captain to select one PAX to join his team two weeks before The Chaos Draft. The 1st F Q will reach out to the captains about the timing of the Right Hand PAX Draft in advance.

Drafting order will be selected randomly and provided to captains on Monday, April 7th, 2025.

The Chaos Draft

The Chaos Draft will follow two weeks after the Right Hand PAX Draft and will be structured in a snake draft format. This order will be determined before the Right Hand PAX Draft and will be followed through the end of The Chaos Draft. This means that the captain who received the last draft pick during the Right Hand PAX Draft will receive the first pick during The Chaos Draft.

TRADING

  • Trade requests may be made between April 14th and Friday, May 9th.
  • Trade requests may NOT be made after May 9th.
  • Trades may be discussed privately but final trade approval must be confirmed by Stay-Puft.

EVIDENCE – HOW TO LOG

Activities that require evidence to be posted on the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel:

  • The Channel Can be found in the F3 Naperville Slack Space #Lincoln-games-evidence-only-2025
  • Daily 4 running, rucking, biking (screenshot of miles travelled from approved app or software

IMPORTANT DATES

NOTES

Power Events Limit

You are only allowed to complete each Power event one time per week.

i.e. If you do 13.1 miles on the Power Run you only score 10 points. If you want to score the other 3 pts for the run portion of the daily 4, you would end up running a total of 18.1 miles that day for 13 points total.

One Shot Rule

The Daily 4 and Power Events must be done in one attempt, one shot.

In other words, there is NO SPLITTING UP distance. I.E. If you’re planning to bike 15 miles, you can NOT do 10 miles in the morning, 5 in the afternoon. It must be done in one attempt, one shot.

Outdoor Rule

All fitness events are to be held outdoors using a ‘standard F3 weight’.

This is F3, not Orange Theory or Peloton, etc. A standard F3 weight is a coupon or a sandbag.

Double Dipping

A Run Club is a post and does NOT count for a daily 4 activity.

I.E. Tuesday at the Outpost is Run Club which is worth 5 points, you can’t double dip and get 3 points for running 3 miles during Run Club too. These are separate activities.

Evidence Channel On Slack

All evidence goes On the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel (NEW!)

Running, biking, and rucking routes;  video of the 10,000 LBS moved; pictures of events completed with other PAX; registrations (e.g. FMSC, Frontline, Love Your Neighbor, F3 Naperville 5K) goes on the Lincoln Games Evidence Only.

Standings (UPDATED)

Leading up to and throughout the duration of Lincoln Games, team scores and/or standings may be shared publicly at the discretion of the 1st F Q. Outside of that, team scoring will not be shared publicly.

Downrange AOs

Posting at Downrange AOs counts for standard attendance points (same 6 points as if you posted at a F3 Naperville AO). Qing at Downrage AOs does NOT  count toward point totals. Daily 4 can be completed downrange/out of town.

PPP points can be earned down range. Again, this means you completed the Daily 4 event with a PAX in person and submitted the proper evidence on the Lincoln Games Evidence Only Channel.

Virtual posting will not count towards Lincoln Games points.

Deadline

The games end on May 17 at 11:59 PM. If you start a workout (i.e. run, ruck, bike) it will count as long as you start by 11:59 PM. The team points trackers will be locked out Monday, May 20 for final review.

Good Luck! You'll Need It!
