Warm-O-Rama
After rolling in exactly at 0515, I was happy to discover that my trusty Site Q Bjorn had taken the reigns on introductions and disclaimer. Since he was claiming that I was not too professional for showing up late, I quickly got angry and wasted no time and hit some Motivators.
- Motivators from 6
- Tappy Taps (with a funny demonstration of “Southern” Tappy Taps from Driftwood, who was visiting us from F3 Knoxville)
- Butt kicks to Snart’s vehicle
- High knees back to start line
The PAX grabbed their coupons and moseyed to the Riverwalk Cafe area by the bridge. We circled up there to begin the main events.

Prayers for Urkel/Bjorns mom
Brief thought on Kobe Bryant and his daughter losing their lives, cherish the relationships you have with your children, there is nothing like that (even if they are annoying AF). Enjoy them. You never know when your time is up.
On Urkel: listen to your bodies. It’s a hard time of year to work out, with the cold and with germs all over the place. Urkel was smart and did what he had to do (go to ER) before his pneumonia got worse. Even the strongest and most positive among us can fall. Take time off if your body needs you to. Your health is your #1 priority.

More on Kobe and the tragic plane crash:
Today during lunch, I had the opportunity to listen to one of my favorite sports podcasts from Indianapolis. Dan Dakich has an AM radio show there and contributes for ESPN (commentator for college basketball games). He talked a lot about Kobe on his show on Monday (which most of the sports world was doing) and brought up the fact that Kobe was young. Did he get on that helicopter that day and even consider it could be his last day? No. Why would he? He was young, had a wonderful family, everything in the world going for him, etc. If we knew the day that we will pass, how would we live our daily lives? Would we spend our limited time in front of screens, or would we pick up a book, talk with our wife or our kids more, etc. I need to remember to live more for the moment and to remember to be present more with my family. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and my family needs to be the central tenet of my life.
