Circle of Trust

For most of my life I viewed restlessness as a negative.  I struggled with why I felt restless more than at peace.  Then I heard a priest in church talk about how St Augustine referred to restlessness as a Divine Gift.  Below is something I found online about what he said.

Saint Augustine writes in his Confessions, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”  This captures something that resonates deep within the human person.
Restlessness is that desire to be filled and fulfilled. We all have it. We try to ignore at times, but still it remains.
Restlessness is a key aspect to our life together, igniting our common search for God through our prayer, community life, and ministry.

I am still restless but as I get older I am learning how that restlessness can be a gift, bring peace through connecting close to God.  Wanted to share this thought since we all are probably restless to some degree and we are definitely living in a restless world.  As men of F3 we can help bring peace to our community and this world by helping others realize the divine gift of restlessness.

Prayed for Columbus’ dad, Hot Box as he starts his treatment for Hodgkin’s Disease and 15 seconds of silent prayer.  Finished with The Lord’s Prayer.

Naked Man Moleskin

Beautiful morning with a great group of men who pushed hard for 45 minutes.  Welcomed an FNG, Pacifier.  Thanks for starting my birthday off the right way brothers!
