Beautiful morning! Pulled into the parking lot at 5:05. Urban Cowboy pulled in right after me. Set up cones out in the field. By the time I got back to the parking lot PAX were ready to go!

The Thang
Thang 1 – The Hill
11’s – Burpees at the bottom, Big Boi situps at the top. Bernie Sanders up the hill and run forwards down the hill. After 4x up the hill, changed from Bernie Sanders to forward running up the hill.
Mosey to the fountain
Thang 2 – The Fountain
Each PAX stand in front of a bench.
Round-the-clock merkins using the bench – 10 each at 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. One round.
15 Jumps ups on the bench
20 air squats together on my down
Mosey to field house building adjacent to baseball field.
Thang 3 – The Wall
Find a location on the wall.
Wall squats – 45 seconds on, 30 second recovery, 30 seconds on, 30 second recovery, 20 seconds on.
Mosey to the field.
Thang 4 – The Field
Get your coupon to the center cone on the field any way you want, but don’t walk.
The setting: – One cone in the center, Once cone at each corner of the field (5 cones total)
Start at the center cone – 10 blockees, then carry your coupon to each of the corner cones and do the exercise on the cone. (20) coupon lunges, (20) shoulder press, (20) goblet squats, (20) curls
Circle up at the center cone for Mary.

I had been wanting to try a new dinner recipe for a while, but kept putting it off because the prep was a lot of work. On Wednesday night, I decided to give it a try and use a mandolin I just got to slice the vegetables. Although, I sliced my finger during the prep (which is making this backblast difficult to type), I managed to complete the meal and it turned out really well. The message is that trying new things can be difficult (and sometimes painful), but it’s important to keep trying new things no matter the obstacles.

I’ve been nursing a shoulder injury most of the summer, but I don’t think that’s the only reason I don’t feel like I’ve been accelerating for much of the summer. After attending some really well done Q’s earlier this week, I wanted to make sure this workout was up to those standards. Thanks (or sorry) to the PAX that joined me today as I looked all around The Bear for my mojo and to Urban Cowboy for having the 6.
