Magic Carpet Motivators from 8
Blart IC 16 Similar to an Al Gore, Pax are in Air Chair position and grab the handlebars of their Segway. Pax bend at the knees – left, forward, right, back is 1 count (Kodiak style)
(I didn’t have Blart’s in the original plan yet when I saw he HC’d it was only right as I was scrolling through the Exicon) Those were for you brother!
Goofballs IC 24
Two line indian run to Thang One
The Thang
Thang One – Centennial Beach Parking Lot
Bear Crawl 360 1-2-3
Dora’s obnoxious neighbor who throws wild parties all night long. Partner up, perform 100 Burpees, 200 Squats, and 300 Plank Jacks as a team. While Partner 1 is doing the 1-2-3, Partner 2 360 Bear Crawls across to first cone and Crawl Bear back, then flip flop and 360 Bear Crawl to second cone until all Merkins, LBCs, and Squats are complete.
(I figured throwing in the 360 Bear Crawl would be a nice DISRUPTOR to the mix. They were a lot harder than expected especially when traveling to the second cone)
Bear Crawl 360
Perform Bear Crawl while rotating 360 degrees the entire time. Can be performed clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Thang Two
The Burpee Ladder
PAX make two lines on each side of parking lot starting at first parking space
First PAX started performing a Burpee at each parking spot line side shuffling between lines
Two Line Indian Run to Riverwalk Cafe
Half of the PAX perform Balls to the Wall for 60 sec while the other half hold plank. Switch off as each PAX performing each exercise once.
Two line Indian Run to Naperville Central parking adjacent to soccer field.
Thang Three
7 of Diamonds
Performed on a large diamond (i.e. a square); we use the outside of a baseball field, but any large area will work. For the first round, do 7 reps of an exercise (burpees) at each of the 4 corners with a mosey (or sprint) in between corners. Each round, increase by 7 reps with a different exercise each round, for a total of 4 rounds. Round 2, 14 four count flutter kicks at each of the 4 corners. Round 3, 21 merkins at each of the 4 corners. Round 4, 28 squats at each of the 4 corners (we didn’t have enough time to finish this thang yet that’s no necessarily a bad thing, we stoped at 21 merkins round)
OYO Sprint back to base of the hill hold plank for the 6
Mary
60 sec high plank
Shoulder Taps IC till 0600
Circle of Trust
“Indispensable Man”
Saxon White Kessinger
Sometime when you’re feeling important;
Sometime when your ego’s in bloom
Sometime when you take it for granted
You’re the best qualified in the room,
Sometime when you feel that your going
Would leave an unfillable hole,
Just follow these simple instructions
And see how they humble your soul;
“Indispensable Man”
Take a bucket and fill it with water,
Put your hand in it up to the wrist,
Pull it out and the hole that’s remaining
Is a measure of how you’ll be missed.
You can splash all you wish when you enter,
You may stir up the water galore,
But stop and you’ll find that in no time
It looks quite the same as before.
The moral of this quaint example
Is do just the best that you can,
Be proud of yourself but remember,
There’s no indispensable man.
It was on my heart to share this with the HIM’s in attendance. I actually knew this was going to be my CoT last week. I felt led to share this for a reason I don’t quite understand.
I first experienced this lesson when I was 16 yet I didn’t UNDERSTAND what it meant until I was 22. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I immediately reflected to that experience 6 years back. I keep this close by for when “My ego’s on Bloom” I love the fact that this reminds me to keep growing, keep pushing, stay humble, and learn from everyone around you both good and bad.
Final Prayer
Naked Man Moleskin
Wow just WOW! I’m still on CLOUD 9
I was nervous as heck the last couple weeks. The only way I know to calm my nerves is the two P’s. PRAY and to PREPARE! As I prepared these last couple days the nerves began to go away, go figure. I got a grip of my thoughts, I constantly said my affirmations and I was smart with my recovery yesterday. I focused on my strengths in order to give these HIM’s a nice burner (my biggest fear was not making it worth it for the BIG DOGS).
As I said ITG ALL THE GLORY OF TODAY IS DEDICATED TO THE MAN ABOVE! The boatload of HC’s were for HIM!!! As I we ran towards Thang Three I just thanked him for the strength and praised him all the way there. I was IN THE ZONE, at least I thought so.
HUMBLED and HONORED my brothers. I appreciate each and everyone of you individually for coming out and making it an EXPERIENCE I’ll forever cherish. I appreciate Baby Hands for always sharpening my Sword. He’s super humble and doesn’t want any credit yet he’s the one who pushed me out of my comfort zone to Q today. My heart is overflowing with JOY, THANK YOU!!!
Signing off…
See you @ the TOP!
