Introduction
It’s been a minute since I’ve Q’d… in fact it’s been several months. Coming back from a knee surgery has made me feel that I haven’t been ready to lead. But physical therapy has been making an impact, and all those Scrooged miles didn’t hurt either (OK, maybe a little bit). When Parks & Rec put up the bat signal this week that he wouldn’t be able to perform today’s Q, I saw that as my sign to get back in the Q game.
Preblast: It’s time to celebrate! Celebrate what, you might ask? Let’s see… it will be my 558th post. No, who cares. How about National Insurrection Day? Nope. Too divisive. I know, let’s celebrate the fact that Saturdays are for the boys!
Grab that coupon, wear a pair of shoes, perhaps even a shirt and come join YHC as we get stronger and faster. Let’s see those Hard Commits in the thread below!

Circle of Trust
I’ve made gratitude a part of my daily morning devotional and journaling. However, it’s easy to get wrapped up in my day and forget what’s most important.
My office window overlooks Washington Street in Naperville just south of Edwards Hospital. Several times an hour, an ambulance drives by with lights and sirens. I’ve worked to make a habit of pausing, saying a short prayer for the patient in the ambulance, and reflecting that no matter what is happening in my day that day, that person is having a worse day than I am.
This constant reflection, and being present in gratitude, has helped me to take a calmer, more thoughtful approach to my days…
Naked Man Moleskin
I was worried about throwing so much running into today’s Q, but it ended up being OK. The BP guys have really been raising the bar and I didn’t want to let anyone down.
A HUGE shoutout to Animal House for covering the 6 today!
Until next time,
Judge
