Circle of Trust

I talked about how amped I was to get going this morning, fueled by excitement and some frustration about how BD’s are viewed.  Some guys think BD’s are only for the top guys which has caused some people to not come because they feel like they have to reach a certain level before coming.  But for me BD’s are about finding a group of guys that will push the hell out of you.  That pushing will make you better no matter your level as long as you come because you WANT to get pushed and WANT to get better.  That’s what it has meant to me.

Great to have some BDRC first timers today and hoped they felt how great that push feels.  Also hoped that they will bring more new folks to BD’s.  We need to make ourselves stronger men so we can better serve our wives, our families and our communities.  The more we have at BD’s the more men we have getting better.  We don’t regret doing hard things we normally regret the things we don’t do in life.

Prayed for WideRight’s friend battling cancer, Putt Putt’s sister in law dealing with a miscarriage, HotBox as he continues to battle cancer and Gamecock’s Father who is in the hospital.  Took a moment for prayers in our hearts and closed with Our Father

Naked Man Moleskin

So great seeing so many guys this morning wanting to push themselves.  Super pumped for the first timers and the folks we haven’t seen at BDRC in a while.  Very humbled to have lead BDRC this past year and very excited to pass the flag to the master of spreadsheets Glenn.

I have logged more miles than I can count in Springbrook over the years but the warm up mile with 24 guys running in the dark will be one of my best memories on those paths.  Guys were chatting, energy was high and you could feel the anticipation of the effort everyone was about to put it.  I can only imagine what people driving by must have been thinking if they saw this powerful unit moving together.  That’s right people we are the HIM’s of F3 Naperville and we do hard shit and crazy shit … you should try it sometime … it will change you.

To the 23 that ran with me and all reading this let’s keep pushing each other.  Get uncomfortable, get yourself to a BD, find that drive inside you to put your ego aside and put yourself in a spot where you are back of the pack. If your mind is right you will keep coming moving up from the back because you consistently push for improvement.

Finally my dearest Glenn don’t f* up the legandary BDRC call outs
