6 years ago, the 2016 Chicago Cubs finally won a World Series after a drought that lasted since 1908.
Going back to game 7 of the world series, late in the game the Cubs had just blown a 6-3 lead. Fortunately, they were saved by a 17 minute rain delay. During the rain delay, a dejected Cubs team went into the locker room. At that time, Jason Heyward called the team together and said the following:
“We’re the best team in baseball, and we’re the best team in baseball for a reason. Now we’re going to show it. We play like the score is nothing-nothing. We’ve got to stay positive and fight for your brothers. Stick together and we’re going to win this game.”
After the rain delay, the Cubs came out and won the game.
The takeaway, that I’d like to leave you with. These players were at highest level in their sport, the best of the best, yet even playing at the highest level, these players were motivated and uplifted due to a speech from their teammate, and achieved the highest accomplishment in their sport.
Homework for you. As you go about your day today, try and motivate, inspire at least one person. You never know what kind of impact it can make, and it may even help others hit their goals.

- Shoutout to Wedding Planner. He did a mile Indian run and 0.9 mile Indian run with a sandbag with Road Trip and myself and really dug down deep and pushed himself hard. Love to see it.
- Great to see 2 Hand Touch join. Nice to see new faces at the BDRCs and hope he’ll make it out to more BDRCs.
- Sam Walton came out of nowhere and absolutely smoked me on the last 0.3mi interval. Great push at the end.
- Thanks to Bush for going back and grabbing the sand bag when I forgot it at the beginning.
