Circle of Trust

This past year has been challenging. The change that has happened in my life is I have not gotten angry at God but have had more times of prayer and sought his strength through the challenges. Bear Grylls writes in his devotional book, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) THIS VERSE IS INTERESTING and challenging because it isn’t what we first think of when the worst happens! Our default all too often can be to fall down and give up when things go badly wrong. But God has a better, smarter way. He says for us to be grateful in all circumstances. Instead of blaming and wailing, give thanks for all the good in your life. That’s radical living” (Grylls 7). This is the verse that I am trying to follow when things get tough. I have found myself much more at peace and finding God in the tough circumstances of life. My family has seen this change in me. I have also continued to post and set goals even when challenges arise, choosing to get support from my brothers instead of staying home and keeping to myself.
