Pre-blast Dark Tower

Join YHC tomorrow at Dark Tower for a blast from the past burner. Bringing back a full body beatdown from over a year ago. Get your day started right at DT!

I got to DT early to set up Thang 2 which was a running and body weight circuit. Came back to the lot by the flag to wait for PAX to roll in. I’m sitting in my car when I get a tap tap tap on the hood. Surprised the crap out of me!

It was Bedpan’s FNG, he was early and looking for the group. I talked with him ahead of the workout and let him know to leave his keys/water bottle back at the car. Bedpan showed up and filled him in on the rest..

As PAX rolled in and we started to line up, the EC crew was wrapping up. Some trickled into the circle as I started the 5 principles…

Got a count and moseyed to the riverwalk amphitheater for Thang 1

The Thang

Starting at third step all PAX plank walked step 3 and 2 of the amphitheater

Next starting at third step all PAX lunge walked step 3 and 2 of the amphitheater

Planked till all PAX completed.

Mosey to Part District building parking lot off Jackson

 

Thang 2

Body weight reps and running loop around park district building

Starting at the lot

20 Burpees

20 No Surrenders

20 Merkins

20 Bonnie Blairs

20 Big Boys

Run path around building approx (1/4 mile loop) with 50 yard sprint at end. This completes the circuit

Repeat exercises, but decrease each exercise rep by 2 with each circuit. PAX completed 5 circuits.

Mosey back to parking lot by the flags.

Naked Man Moleskin

I hadn’t Q’d at DT for a while and wanted to get back to a regular weekday Q at my home AO. The DT PAX didn’t disappoint, they showed up and pushed hard for 45 min!

Thanks to Bedpan for coming up from F3 Plainfield and bringing a FNG “Money Pit”. Hope to see him around DT and IL as he lives in Lisle.

Thanks to Radio Flyer who wasn’t even at the workout. He EH’d a guy the morning before and right as we circled up for Mary, the same guy was walking by and asked about F3. He joined us for Mary, NoR and CoT. Welcome “Late Start”!
