It’s safe to say the warm weather is behind us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t act like we’re in Cancun for spring break 2001. What happens on a spring break?
Everything in excess happens on spring break.
Please join me at the Iron Lion for my VQ and we’ll party until the sun rises and until someone’s head is in the toilet!

Arrived at 4:55am, the heavy breath of the EC crew still visible…it was cold..12 degrees with the wind chill. Set up cones, started blaring tunes. VQ nerves started to get the best of me.
Circled up at 5:15, gave full disclosure.

The Thang
Thang 1: 5:18am-5:25am
Partner up with someone who you can push today. Get in 2 single file lines, next to your partner. Everyone John Cusack walks, PAX in front pop out of line and do 10 irkins. They fall to back of line (yell six is in), the next PAX pop out, and so on. Walked for about 300 yards.
Cross the street, continue the walk another 300 yards, but switch to walking curls. Still pop out and do 10 irkins.
Get to stop sign and mosey to football field.
Thang 2:Â 5:25am-5:45am
13 lighted cones lined up across football field at goal line. PAX lined up on opposite 40 yd line. One PAX sprints to pickup a cone, while the other side straddle hops until he returns. Every cone had an exercise written on them. They both do the exercise, the other partner brings cone back and picks up another cone. Exercises included: 25 merkins, 10 burpees, 10 blockees, 30 bent over rows, 40 chest press, 20 shoulder presses, 15 goblet squats, 40 curls, bear crawl around soccer net, lunge walk around soccer net, run to the top of the hill and back, run around the parking lot loop.
Thang 3: 5:45am-5:55am
Broke up into 2 groups and did 8 60 yard sprints, with 10 second rest between sprints. Mosey back to flags, and hold plank for the six.
2 Rounds of ABCs, one capital letters, one lowercase. Finished exactly at 6am.
Circle of Trust
I wanted to give credit where credit was due. There are many PAX that EH’d me into trying F3 and I always gave every excuse in the book. I didn’t call them out during the COT, but Goldberg, Babyhands, Ebeneezer, Ronda Rousey, and Nacho Libre were the men that pushed me along. I appreciate it.
I really wanted to relay the impact that these first couple of months have had on me mentally. I think we all can agree that one of the most appealing things to F3 is getting in better shape. But, the positive affect exercise can have on you mentally can’t be measured. You don’t see it on a scale or in pants sizes. So to all of the newer PAX out there, remember that when it’s tough to get out of bed to come to a workout, it will benefit your mind as much as your body.
