Introduction
After some recent feedback on preblasts, decided to simply ask the PAX to show up with their coupon at 5am and be ready to move. No other description, advance warning, distance to be covered, shoes to be warn or plan was conveyed. Show up with an open mind be ready for some disruption to the daily routine.
Warm-O-Rama
Not much of a WOR this day. The cadence counting on the tappy taps was pretty weak, sounded like guys were still waking up. When I asked if everyone was okay, a few mumbled “yeah”. Decided to skip the rest of the warm up and get right to it.
The Thang
Asked the PAX to pick up there coupons, once they all had them in hand the PAX were informed the goal was to not put them down/release their hands until 6am. A little extra baggage to handle both mentally and physically for the next 60 minutes. I demonstrated how we would get up and down with the coupon if we went to the ground. Heard a few groans, moans, and profane comments 😉
We ran with the coupons from Dark Tower to the North Central football stadium, just over a half mile. Once to the field we made our way to the north end of the stadium seats. Work out was simple move up the stairs with the coupon, and come back down, until we reached the end of the stadium. We started with every other step (x2), every step (x2), then both feet touch each step (x2), back to each step (x2), then every other step (x2).
We then made our way to the football field. Murder bunny 10 yards, bear crawl with a coupon 10 yards, repeat until we reached the other goal line. Some finished early and went back to pick up the six at about the 40 yard line. Some decided to rest and put there coupon down. After a little ranting and raving from me, 10 penalty blockees were handed out and the PAX were politely asked to keep their coupons either up, or holding onto them. We moseyed back to the other endzone where we started. We did 15 flutter kicks IC holding the coupons up, then 15 chest press, did 3 total rounds. At this point the NCC football team was starting to roll into the stadium for their practice. We headed up to the bleachers for additional stair work.
PAX were asked to hold the coupon through the middle with both hands. Think arms at a right angle, clinched grip level with your waist line. Up one isle and down the other with the football team watching. At this point the legs were J-E-L-L-O but we still needed to coupon mosey back to the tower. Once back, we got in some mary, including big boys with the coupon overhead, american hammers with the coupon, and some side to side action with the coupon until 6am. PAX were relived to set them down, as was I.
Circle of Trust
I confided with the PAX that I was super nervous about Qing this one. My calorie count was way down in attempt to hit the reset button my Queen and I just didn’t know if I would have the gas to go all 60 minutes. The slower, methodical work with the coupon and stairs was an attempt tip the scales back to even. I was carrying some extra baggage mentally, going through some stuff personally and sincerely appreciated there effort and willingness to do something disruptive.

Anyone can and should pick up the six, not just the SQ. Serena did an excellent job of knowing when he needed to be there on the runs.
