I just read a quote that sums up this month well. “February is the worst month of the year, but it’s an honest month. It’s a month that doesn’t hold up life any better than it really is.” Well, it’s time to take February out back and put it down like the old dog it is.
I’ve Q’ed a lot lately so this will be my last hurrah for awhile. If you have never been or it’s been awhile, come to EIL. The early jump provides a better, more joyful weekend every time. Don’t leave me hanging here! HC below and bring a coupon.

I’m glad I have your full attention. This will take some time but I will explain the entire Russian invasion of Ukraine and the United States position within this global conflict while providing the steps needed to resolve this dilemma. Let’s start approximately 1,000 years ago with the formation of the Kyiv Rus. . . Of course, I’m not going to explain shit. Could you imagine someone trying to explain and solve something like this? It’s completely ridiculous! What I can do is shut my f*cking mouth and listen. Shocking as this might be, I’m not a great listener. My challenge for myself this weekend and for all of us is to shut up and listen. Whether it’s a global conflict or your 2.0’s issue at school, try not to blurt stuff out and attempt to solve the problem. Take in opposing view points, spend time in thought, and shut your f*cking mouth. It’s not easy but I guarantee your understanding and empathy will increase dramatically.

My goal today was to reveal our weaknesses as PAX by focusing on exercises that put them on full display. We did pull-ups, wall stands,1 arm chest press, change of direction running, etc. In retrospect, men who show up at 5:15 AM on a Saturday don’t need some jabroni pointing out what they can and can’t do. Think I missed the mark a bit but as always the PAX attacked everything without complaint. Some days the Q needs to inspire and push the PAX, today the Q was inspired and pushed by the PAX. Thank you, gentlemen.
Cousin Eddie will confirm but I think we came in just shy of the EIL attendance record. 11 degrees in February and we were 13 strong on a Saturday at 5:15 AM?! How does the world outside of F3 justify excuses?
Mia Hamm’s 2.0, Messi, was out today. 13 year old kid pushed so hard he puked. Then he jumped back in and beat Nosejob in a race for first in the last sprint! I’d like to be the first person to officially throw my support behind his eventual Presidential candidacy. He was so damn impressive and it just goes to show you that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
I told Twinning that I was doing my best to include more running in my Q’s. Twinning let me know that he would have liked to know that before HC’ing.
Dorn double tapped today and saw the crazy Italian in the Maserati on his way to the Bear. His weekend is starting off perfectly. If you don’t know the legend of the crazy Italian, go post at the Bear and hear the stories.
This inspiration for the ladders today came from a conversation with Sputnik. We coach basketball together and I make the kids run a ton of ladders. Last week, Sputnik asked me if I realized how hard those were. I hadn’t run one in awhile so I figured we’d try them today. After this morning, I now realize I’m a lunatic who should have to apologize to a group of 6th grade boys.
Daisy, thanks for having my 6 today. Legit, I was the 6 during most of the running. I know that arm is killing you and I really appreciate you still coming out and keeping us on track.
Having Rain Man, At At, Brooks, and Moonlight out today gave me the warm and fuzzies. It brought me back to the old days when you’d have 30 of these ass kickers at DT every day. Thanks, boys.
Sound track was 80’s music that featured a synthesizer. The extended cut of “Gloria” was a bit much though.
Mumblechatter was outstanding and definitely the high point!
