Introduction

So Foundation got onsite around 4:30am to set up and do a 1 mile EC run.  First timer to BP and I was impressed with the AO and with the awesome group of PAX that came out today.  Thanks to Title IX for having my 6 and to everyone who was out there.

I’m glad that everyone enjoyed the onsite coffeteria that I brought.  Several of us do that for the Crossroads workouts and its an awesome way to have almost 100% participation in coffeteria and helps with the time constraint.

Circle of Trust

For my COT today, I wanted to talk about my F3 journey but first wanted to thank you for the opportunity to come out and Q for you guys.
When I reached out to an old neighbor friend of mine back in August of 2020 and asked him if he was still doing that workout thing I saw on facebook. I lived down the street from Parks and Rec for about 12 years so that’s how I know him. I was at the tail end of a very tough rebound 3 yr marriage after a 15 year first marriage. I was in a dark depressed place and had been for like a decade or more. I lost track of most of my friends and didn’t really see any of them regularly. That August morning I showed up at 5:10 out at the Ridge not knowing what to expect.
I was a quiet dude with absolutely no self esteem or confidence. I slowly acclimated to the group and once a week turned to twice a week and then 3-4 days. I started Qing and attending Q-source. I slowly began to gain the confidence and make new friends. F3 changed my life. I was seeing a therapist for years trying to deal with all of the crap in my personal life and she noticed that change and she kept telling me to not stop that F3 thing whatever you do. As my body and mind became healthy, I tried to work things out with my wife and got more and more pushback I received. It was a toxic situation and I finally was seeing clearly and could think for myself. The second marriage was a toxic environment for my two wonderful girls and I chose to get them out of it. The fall of 2021 was brutal with the 2nd divorce and the sudden death of my Father who I was very close with. I made it through all of it because of the amazing support of Crossroads brothers. I did not miss a day for 16 weeks and had Saturday double taps for about half of it with EC runs or rucks every day. The events in my personal life could have destroyed me if I let them but I did not. Today is my 84th Q and I’m somewhere in the upper 320’s for my post count. Conversations that I’ve had out in the Gloom with people like Gopher, Toby, Boston Butt, Hanger, Bunker, Scat and numerous others last fall and this winter have meant more to me than you can ever imagine. I see how the empathy that was shown to me saved my life and I just want to pay it forward. I have brothers come up and want talk to me about their relationship hell’s that they are currently going through. I listen and do whatever I can for them and the main thing is to let them know that they are not alone. That is the greatest gift you can give to someone in that very dark place. I set up regular 2nd F events ranging from lunches during the workweek to poker nights to Sunday Rucks. I look forward to my Thursday morning 6:30 am Q-source at Southern Bell’s in Plainfield. I’m controlling my Jesters of self-confidence, lack of self esteem and anxiety and am in the drivers seat. I thank God daily for the gift of F3 in my life.
Aye?
F3 is not a religious organization but we will end in a prayer. You’re welcome to join or take a minute to connect with your sky Q. Are there an intentions we can acknowledge?

Naked Man Moleskin

+10 points for the AO – They have a porta potty in the corner of the parking lot.  You don’t have to go on a hike through the forest to find a spot like at the Colosseum. 🙂
