Dark Tower Pre-blast
1 Year Manniversary
One year ago I was invited by Pawn Star to a workout at Dark Tower. At At was on Q and we worked the hill in a team competition beatdown. I left that morning beaten…exhausted…motivated. I was hooked on this thing called F3.
Tomorrow morning we will be returning to where it all began! We will run through some of the “greatest hits” workouts I’ve experienced in my time at F3. Please join YHC for this beatdown and, if your up for it, a few beers afterward!

It was still a little stormy when I rolled into DT around 4:40. Harbaugh, Glenn, Bush Push and Sam Walton had already set out on their 3 mile EC. I set up cones on the hill for Thang 2, but as a precaution, moved Thang 1 to the municipal building parking garage lower level. Ended up working out well other than the humidity running in the garage!
CVS was the first to roll in and set up his shovel flag. As we exchanged some mumbblechatter, PAX started rolling in…

The Thang

Circuit workout OYO
10 Burpees
15 Merkins
20 Big Boys
25 Jump Squats
Run loop around inside of parking garage
Repeat back at burpees, but reduce each exercise count by 2 after each completed lap.
Stopped most PAX after 4 rounds, some completed 5 rounds.
Mosey back to hill and stopped back at bottom of hill by coupons for Thang 2
Thang 2
Divided PAX into 5 teams
Teams lined up single file behind 5 cones spread across the base of the hill
First PAX – Runs to the top of the hill, performs 5 Bonnie Blairs, runs back
Second PAX – Chest Press until First PAX returns
Third PAX – Goblet Squats until First PAX returns
Fourth PAX – Dips until first PAX returns
Fifth PAX – Curls until first PAX returns
Once First PAX returns, second PAX moves to first and runs hill, third moves to second and does chest press and so on. Goal was for each PAX to run the hill 3 times. We had to cut it short due to time. Each PAX made it up at least 2 times and I believe team 2 took the W!

Before starting F3, I had many doubts I’d ever get back into good physical condition. I exercised a bit on my own, but nothing consistent and really never thought I’d get back to where I wanted to be.
Joining F3 changed all of that for me. From IPAX to F3/24 to Patriot Challenge, Lincoln Games and running the OCR course, I’ve done more than I could have imagined attempting on my own. Its due to all of the amazing HIMs in F3 having confidence in me, pushing me and picking up my six each day.
I couldn’t have gotten here without you fellas and I’m very grateful for each of you!

Trying to avoid the rain this morning I moved the PAX into the garage and that was a steaming hot mistake! Had to be 15 degrees warmer and 20% more humid on that lower level! Sorry all!
