Introduction
Iron Lion, I went there once for a Townie Q sometime in early winter. The ground was soft and it was cold and wet. I made a point to sign up for a Q at every AO last year. I was good until the Iron Lion opened up, then came the Launch Pad. It had been a few months since I left the west side of F3 Naperville and I really had not made any effort to visit the east side. Then last Saturday, Goldberg messaged me about the 24th…Fast forward a few days. Checked Google Earth and DuPage County GIS to study the terrain. Quickly figured out the plan. Rolled up to Iron Lion and it was a beautiful morning. Temp around 60 and mostly clear.

“Step out of your comfort zone”
I picked up a few Qs over the next couple of weeks. First up was Black Panther on the 24th. A few days later I received a message from Goldberg about my upcoming visit to Iron Lion. I quickly realized that I must have selected the wrong AO.
Here I am at the age of 44, and at times, sticking to what I normally do, because it’s easier. We shouldn’t also take the easy route. Their is a phrase that we use in F3, maybe you’ve heard it. “We do hard things.” So I encourage all of you to step out of your comfort zone and do something a little harder than what you are used to doing.
