It was 3 years ago that we opened this beautiful north side AO.  Join YHC tomorrow to help me blow out the candles.  If you haven’t been to the LP, tomorrow will be a great opportunity to see the AO before the upcoming Convergence.

SYITG but HC in the thread belwo.  No coupons. Full body workout and we’ll be on the move.

Warm-O-Rama

Run from west parking lot to Pavilion.

25 Step-Ups

20 Big Boy Situps

15 Derkins

10 Burpees

Run from Pavilion to south side hill(by Cricket field).

Progressive loop on hill.  Bear Crawl up the hill…complete 1 Bonnie Blair at top of hill, then mosey down the hill and complete 1 LBC.  Rinse and repeat, but add 1 rep to both Bonnie Blairs and LBC’s each round(i.e. 1 the first round, 2 the second, etc.).

Run from south hill to soccer turf field entrance.  Freddy Mercuries in cadence to 25.

Run from turf field to the parking garage on southeast side of LP.

In parking garage:  11’s with Carolina DryDocks at bottom and Jump Squats at top.  Bonnie hop up the stairs in between CDD and Jump Squats, then mosey down entrance ramp.

Circle of Trust

It’s hard to believe that Launchpad launched 3 years ago today.  It was an interesting time in February 2020, with lots of hope for growth…then Covid came to the US and we shut down several weeks after opening the AO.  Thanks to Cupcake and Moonlight, the first 2 SQ’s here for getting this AO launched and growing.

I met a gentleman at church this weekend and almost immediately after meeting him, he kind of went off about how the public schools were going overboard on the ‘LGBTQ thing’.  It was early in the morning and I was a bit taken aback, as I wasn’t sure how the conversation shifted there or how/why he thought I aligned with his thoughts.  My initial reaction was just that he was a fairly judgemental person.

I was going to read a Psalm from the book of John this morning on Judgement, but instead just wanted to discuss this generally.  In my scenario, I thought this person was being judgmental without understanding me(who I am, what I stand for, etc.).  In hindsight, I’m not so sure that I wasn’t judging him.

My point, seek to understand and not to be understood.  Leave judgement up to God.  We’ll all be better off if try to understand each other’s perspectives and find common ground.

Prayers for Hotbox and Boy Sandwich’s families.  Prayers for Indeed’s co-worker and friend.

Naked Man Moleskin

We had a nice morning, about 30 degree temps but the 15-20 mph wind made it feel like 20(maybe less).  Great opportunity to see the entire AO in 45 minutes.  We ended up running just over 2 miles.  Gracious to have these 13 HIM join to celebrate 3 years of workouts at the Launchpad.

We missed Wide Right and Search Party, who both had rough nights.  Sometimes, life gets in the way and we understand that sometimes there are greater priorities.

Congratulations to La Bamba for his first visit to Launchpad and his 100th post overall!  His acceleration is fun to watch and inspires many.
