Introduction

Slight fog filled the gloom today…silhouettes of beasts beaming off the headlights pulling in began to fill the parking lot…Shell’s headlamp strolled in from a brief EC run like a lone locomotive moving through the night…

Carnage from the Outpost to Two Wolves awaits…

The Thang

Thang 1 Weighted Indian Run “Conveyor Belt” Style

PAX lined up for an Indian Run, conveyer belt still with two 25lb medicine balls at front of line that would rotate back on the arrival of each PAX on the sprint up. (1/2 mile high tempo run)

Thang 2 The Pack

PAX lined up at the OP bridge and did a cascading 25lb “medicine ball bridge toss” drill across the entire bridge, moving laterally and catching/tossing the ball back and forth to each other. This took some extra concentration, bit of team work to stay together in The Pax.

Thang 3 The Chase

Once PAX hit far end of the bridge we began The Chase. This is a 1.5 mile high temp OYO run to the kill zone AKA the base of the Two Wolves hill.

Thang 4 The Kill Zone

Once PAX reached the Kill Zone, they did 25 Wolf Burpees (Alternating Narrow to Wide Grip) at the base of the hill, ran up the hill, then another 25 Wolf Burpees at top of hill.

Thang 5 The Return

Another 1.5 mile High Tempo run back to the bridge. Upon arrival PAX had to fend off scavengers with 4×4’s with Clerkins until the six. Then another 10 Burpees OYO.

Thang 6 The Pack (Take 2)

Repeat of The Pack above only this time returning more fatigued after The Chase and Kill Zone. Another 10 burpees awaiting the PAX on original side of the bridge once crossed.

Thang 7 Weighted Indian Run “Conveyor Belt” Style  (Take 2)

PAX returned back down the .5 mile path to the gloom ridden soccer field.

Thang 8 Close to Home

Almost back to the flags the PAX had to deal with wounded Bears including 2 sets of 3 Legged Bear Crawls and Clerkins to failure. First Set 10 3 Legged Bear Crawls (each leg) + 10 Clerkins and Second Set 20 3-Legged Bear Crawls (each leg) + 20 Clerkins

Thang 9 The Wolf Den (Home)

PAX mosey’d back to the flags. It had been a journey into the wild. Once home they were greeted with 10 burpees OYO and then a Slaughter “Closer” with another 20 burpees OYO. A few minutes we finished with slow American Hammers and Planks for Mary until 6 O’Clock.

Circle of Trust

I shared with the PAX “the hardest walk you can make is the one you walk alone”. Things might not necessarily be easier when you do them with someone however they can be more impactful and more efficient when you have company, especially good company. Here’s to the Pack.
