I shared with the PAX how one of the task’s on my 75Hard mental toughness challenge is reading 10 pages of a non fictional book every single day. Normally I take care of that task first thing in the am. Yesterday was one of those odd days I did last. As I was reading I found my CoT. I had a few different directions I could go however I found this one suiting.
This excerpt was from page 167 on Ed Mylett’s new book “The Power of One More.”
I’ll condense it for times sake.
“Cooperation and sacrificing the self for the good of the whole mean (advancement of the PAX) mean setting aside your ego (Q-ing) for a bigger purpose (invigoration of male community leadership).
Ecclesiastes 4:12 “And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threestrand cord is not quickly broken.”

I encouraged the PAX to put the ego to the side and LEAD. IMHO that’s what prevents us from Q-ing. We’re supposed to lead in a rotating fashion and often times we forget that. This Q spot was open Monday afternoon. I choose to sacrifice thyself for our beautiful AO. It was a no brainer as it’s one of the easiest workouts to Q, no planning, no nothing, simply set up. On top of no Q-ing we want to complain… Can we do it on turf, can you change the music, blah blah blah blah. No, how about YOU lead and do what YOU want. In what other areas of our life as we complaining instead of taking charge?
