Introduction
22 HC’s on the day, 2 showed for EC. Beautiful morning with Patchouli as we cranked out 2.5M with good conversation. We discussed taking risks, career choices and getting/giving space in life. We also discussed how barriers, walls and blocks can form when you reach the edge of your comfort zone. Patchouli recommended the book “The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks”. Seemed appropriate for the beatdown YHC had in mind. Edge of the comfort zone, break through the blocks, or let them stop you. It would become the basis for today’s BabyHands banter. Good crowd, lots of regulars these days at IL, time to find the edge.
Preblast:Request came in from from the top brass to get your run on tomorrow. Whether or , you’re going to be moving. You vs you, all that matters, no man left behind. We will also leave no HIM where we found him so prepare for movement and to run with faster men. There’s really no decision to make, just a commitment. No coupons required, likely not sticking to pavement. Don’t forget your homework, HC below and see you ITG.
Warm-O-Rama
Circled up with 21 PAX for core principles, disclaimer, neck and shoulder rolls, motivators from 6.
The Thang
Fast guys and slow guys, have 5 seconds to decide your group. Some got stuck in their thoughts and had to run with faster men. Slow guys 1M run around the loop, fast guys did 10 mountain climbers in candence, 10 merkins in cadence, counted to 10 and followed about 1 min behind. Meet at bridge for thang 2.
Thang 1 – Iron Cross
Mosey to turn on each cone 400M mosey
Split into two squads, think one group running north south, other running east west.
6 150M sprints with 10 merkins or squats on each end
6 200M sprints with 10 merkins or squats on each end
Unfortunately the 150M runners had more downtime than desired when we started, I’ll correct the timing on that next time. No way they appreciated it as much as the guys that started with the 200M sprints.
Thang 2 – Partner run 3/4M, don’t cross the finish line without your partner
Mary – Plank variations.
Circle of Trust
I tried to articulate that the runs were a little longer than normal, trying to get to the edge, try to break through the blocks. Nosejob was the fast cat in our pack, but he was in tights so he had less drag. Weeblos set the pace for the other crew. Great push by everyone, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Naked Man Moleskin
not today, if you were there you got my banter
