The Thang

PAX had 45 minutes to complete 1 mile run, 7 obstacles, another mile run, followed by the 7 obstacles.

All obstacles required 22 repetitions completed, with the exception of station 2 and station 4.

First mile began with a consistent pack of runners arriving at:

1. 22 Burpees

2. Wrecked: Bear Crawl with a Wreck bag attached to your feet. 30 yards out and 30 yards back

3. Jump for Joy: 22 Box jumps

4. Balls of Fire: 11 over the shoulder stone tosses with a 70 lb cement ball

5. Man Up: 22 Man makers

6. Hell on Wheels: 22 Sledgehammer swings on a tire

7. Child’s Play: 22 pull ups

8. 1 mile run

*22 Reps represent the 22 Veterans lives taken by suicide each day in the United States.

Repeat 1-7

If you had to wait your turn, side straddle hops had to be completed.

With 12 minutes remaining: PAX were divided into 4 teams. Each team carried 120 lbs in a movers blanket to simulate a CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) for a 1/4 mile loop. No doubt forearms and shoulders were smoked at the end, at least for this writer.

With 3 minutes on the clock, Merkins in cadence and inverted planks were completed.
