Introduction
We’re going to play in the snow tomorrow, so be prepared. Lots of untouched snow and I want to see it trampled. We’ll be moving to stay warm and get you used to working in the snow for the OCR this weekend. Don’t plan on doing the big hill or pavement tomorrow, but anything can happen on a snow day.
Bring – shoes for snow, clothes to keep you dry, coupon (was not used), head lamp.
Warm-O-Rama
It was cold, we hit the ground MOVING.
Motivators from 7
Arm Circles, shoulder stretches
Tappy Taps

I wanted to keep everyone moving and get the Pax attending the ASR prepared to run in the snow. We haven’t had much snow this year and this was a slippery powder. We mosied over to the football field and kicked it off with a 100 yard sprint.
Then we hit the benches near the basketball court and did some dips.
From there we did a full on run to the Dorn Dunes and did some 11s with a “safe” travel up and down the hill. YHC bear crawled up and slid down. Some hopped down. One time Ebeneezer face first slid down. That did not seem to go so well. At the top we did merkins, at the bottom we did horizontal side straddle hops – snow angels. The snow angels were modified quickly because the snow was really cold and there’s no need to get all wet this early in the workout.
We slow mosied over the bridge for safety, then took off as fast as we could across the soccer fields. We did plank jacks. YHC had to modify the number down a bit from 20 to 15. Counting that cadence in the cold takes more air than I was able to breath in. We ran back to the bridge as quickly as we could and did some mountain climbers.
We mosied over the bridge and safely down the Dorn Dune, then it was a full on run to the baseball field where we did a wall sit. From there, run to a light post in the middle of the field and do 15 burpees. From there run to the steel rack for some to do pushups and/or rows. Then it was a 100 yard sprint, short rest, 100 yard sprint back to the steel rack for more pull ups and rows.
From there we mosied to the baseball field again and did another wall sit. Mosey from there to the football field for one more sprint in the snow. Did a few things and some Mary afterwards until 6AM.
Circle of Trust
CoT was about the movie Snow Day and how anything can happen on a snow day. Sometimes we just need to go to the fun of being a kid, playing in the snow, and hoping for the unexpected.
We prayed for those with covid and those dealing with the cold.
This went quick because it was cold.
Naked Man Moleskin
I really appreciate all that came out today. I tried to keep this one fun and get people ready to run around in the snow this weekend. It was cold told and a fart sack would be easy. These pax brought it and pushed me to lead.
The group had a perfect mix of focus and fun. The mumblechatter was on point. DJ Nacho brought the hits with a playlist that kept us moving. I continue to try to do some different things and not get into a rut when I lead. I always appreciate those that come when I lead. I still feel like I have a lot to learn about putting together a workout that people look forward to coming to.
The highlight of the morning was Ebenezer sliding down the small hill face first. That was exactly the tone I was aiming for today. We worked, but had some fun.
