Circle of Trust

This summer I have had the awesome chance to be with my daughter. I am off for the summer as I am a teacher, and my wife works. This is a great chance to strengthen our relationship and to build many memories. It also is a chance to work on my patience and understanding of my daughter as a 10-year-old girl. A quote that comes to mind from a book I read is:

“Nowhere is your masculine strength and manly grit more needed than at home. The greatest difficulties, joys, and pains of life aren’t at your job, they’re with your family. Your masculinity either shines or loses its luster at home, and what you do there can be the difference between keeping a loving family together and watching it drift apart or crumble.”

This is a quote that I am taking to heart this summer and I’m trying to follow daily to be the best dad that I can be to my daughter.
