Introduction
YHC just picked this Q up. But that doesn’t mean you will be showing up for easy.
Come join YHC on a push it to the limit out and back NB on the Dupage River Trail.
You vs. You. Come stretched as we will be on the move quickly after a short WaR. Post how many miles you plan to push for with your HC.
Also, come witness the passing of the site flag as @Radio Flyer completes his duties of Site Q.

Run north on the river trail for 18.5 mins turn back.
The underpass to Ogden Rd. was half under water and half mud. YHC ran through it and couldn’t have PAX do same. Audibled to turn back at bridge. Down Jefferson, south on Eagle, riverwalk, hill work on the Dark Tower loop until Mary.

Circle of Trust
YHC picked up the Q for this RC the day before during CoT when Radio Flyer stated there was no one in the Q slot. So YHC volunteered. Hence today’s CoT…Always be ready to step up and Lead.
You don’t need to necessarily be a leader. But when called upon, you need to be ready and take the bull by the horns and lead your fellow man. At work, at home, in F3.
Today produced a second point to the CoT. Life throws audibles. Be ready to adjust on the fly. YHC was first to the Ogden bridge and worked my way through it. I continued and quickly decided, “I can’t have 14 other PAX run through or around this stuff.
So I turned around and warned the PAX as I ran by them all. Then I thought, “wait, I just can’t have them run back and circle DT. That is lame.” So I turned back again and passed each PAX yelling, “Run down Jefferson to Eagle. Take Eagle to bridge to Dark Town then run hill repeats (while making a looping gesture with my finger) until Mary”. Once I passed the 6, I turned back and passed the guys and got back to moving toward DT.
The moral? We could have gone through it. We could have gone around it. (people even mentioned these options at Mary and wanted to know why we didn’t) But, it wouldn’t have been worth it for most PAX as they would have turned right around shortly thereafter.
So, when life throws you a curve…grab it and be ready to audible. How you respond on the move, while others are, or are not, observing, may dictate your end game (in one way or another).
Aye!
The PAX asked us to keep Whopper Jr. in our prayers with his current family situation. It was fitting that the prayer I had chosen for today was the following:
A Prayer When You are Facing Difficulty
God you are always good. You are always faithful. Youar are always present.
When Life feels overwhelming, I’m reminded that you are with us.
When challenges come my way, I’m reminded that you are my strength.
When I’m wondering if pressing on is worth it, I’m reminded that you have a good and perfect plan.
Renew my passion for you, once again.
Revive my soul to see your vision, once again.
Restore my hope to move forward, once again.
Because of your unchanging character…
I surrencer to you and trust that the latter days will be greater than the former.
Thank you, God, that no matter what I am feeling: You are good. You are faithful. You are present.
Amen.

Life throws curves. Adjust and adapt or be left behind.
When I say this, it applies to today’s Q. But I also think of guys like Wine in a Box. Not a runner. Adapting and forcing himself to run to get better…albeit with a touch of humor and self-depreciation. But he’s doing it. Adjust and adapt to new challenges.
I think of Kapusta. Who is used to kicking his brother Snowden’s butt in everything. He comes out for F3 and Snowden is whooping his ass (as Snowden tells the story). Kapusta is running like a man possessed trying to get caught up.
I give credit today to Overthrow. I asked PAX to push .10 to .20 on to their claimed miles from the preblast thread. He came up to me after and said, “Slumlord pushed me. I ran 4.10.” That’s what it’s all about.
Nice seeing Cousin Eddie and Mellencamp today. Mellencamp always has a smile on his face, it seems. We talked a little trash to each other as we ran by each other…or as I ran by Mellencamp.
Radio Flyer, thank you for your time as site Q. Slumlord, batter up!
