Introduction
Did you miss me? I haven’t Q’d in over 2 weeks, I think so it’s time to get back in the saddle. Musical tribute to the late, great Meat Loaf. No coupons needed. We will be moving about the AO so you may need some traction. You’re already winning by showing up this early on a Saturday so HC in the thread and LFG!!!
The Scene: High teens, low 20’s. Single digit wind chills. Yesterday I saw on the news that Meat Loaf had passed. So that helped me put together a tribute, anagram style. YHC showed up a few minutes early. No setup necessary. This would be a pearls on a string workout. I queued up the Meat Loaf music and welcomed the pax.

Mosey to the Football Field
Merkin Jax, up to 10/40, YHC and the PAX made it to 5/20 with no problem but I decided to add a 10 second recovery after each round after that in order to get to 10/40.
Mosey to the backside of the Hill
Everest to the top – this is lunge right leg, squat, lunge left leg, squat until you get to the top.
Stop at top of the hill
ATM – Alternating Shoulder Tap, Tempo Merkin, Merkin x 10
Mosey down to the bridge
The Wolverine x 10, This is a burpee with a merkin, left leg tuck, merkin, right leg tuck, merkin. I remembered the leg tucking and Ebenezer said this is why everyone hates Wolverine. YHC forgot the merkins. Oh well, next time.
Bear Crawl across the bridge/Bear Crawl back, the bridge looked to be not safe so I picked a tree in the distance and said bear crawl there and back.
Mosey to High School wall
London Bridge (IC – 4 count) x 20, this kind of like going from high plank to low plank and then back except you start in plank position and then end up with both hands on the wall, then back down.

One Legged Burpee (IC – 6 count) x 10 (5 each leg) – YHC demonstrated the Faceplant method.

I asked for prayers for my son as we navigate through seeing many doctors for his eczema and his newly diagnosed auto-immune disease (intrinsic atopic dermatitis). We started him on an AIP diet to try and figure things out.

“On those mornings you struggle with getting up, keep this thought in mind—I am awakening to the work of a human being. Why then am I annoyed that I am going to do what I’m made for, the very things for which I was put into this world? Or was I made for this, to snuggle under the covers and keep warm? It’s so pleasurable. Were you then made for pleasure? In short, to be coddled or to exert yourself?”
There is too much to share in one COT. I’m frustrated with my life. Plain and simple. I’m frustrated with the way I look at the world and the way I think others perceive me. I don’t know how to change very easily. I always want to be in control. When too many things feel out of control, I shut down and don’t communicate very well when I should. So, my thought is that I need to slow down and be more deliberate in my actions. And maybe the key is really to let go and just be the best version of myself that I can be. I just don’t know what that is.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
