Introduction
Apparently the trick to getting a bunch of people to drive to Shorewood at 5:15am is to advertise bonus Reindeer points AND make sure it is the only other open AO is a run club. Regardless, there were no FNG’s ITG today, but there were a bunch of first timers to Mt. Shorewood. So we couldn’t disappoint them–the hill would be used.
Everybody on time, most people early. Tons of chit-chat and a general positive attitude among the PAX. I smirked to myself because I knew the hill would change all of that.
Upper 20’s but no wind–it was a nice crisp morning. Let’s get rolling.

I believe a CoT should be thoughtful, and I believe it is thoughtful to be thankful…so I like to share what I am thankful for on the days when I Q a workout. Today, I am thankful for health. COVID is badly affecting us right now, and I am incredibly grateful to be in good health, I am incredibly grateful that my family is in good health, and I am incredibly grateful that my friends are in good health.
Prayer: thank you for our health, and thank you for continuing to look over us through this crisis. Please help us to be thankful for the health of our friends and families, and please hear all the prayers that are unspoken this morning. Amen.

The PAX seemed to enjoy this workout and a few commented how fast the time went by. I offered to stay an extra hour so they could keep the workout going, but I didn’t have any takers.
