Introduction
The plan for this workout was to have 4 Thangs –each at a different spot around the AO. With all the rain that rolled in Friday night, there was no telling how wet the conditions would be in the AM. Would we be trudging through puddles and mud in the rain? Thankfully, there was no rain, but the humidity was, well …nasty. YHC and Zima arrived around 6:25 for an EC run, but Parks and Rec had already opened the AO; did some rucking and was starting a run. The 3 of us continued the run until 10 till.

F3 is chock full of HIM. I mean, we’re all good guys; we all have good intentions. But if I’m being honest, it’s been easy to drift away from the 3rd F –especially these past few months, when places of worship were physically closed. Since starting F3, I’ve noticed many parallels with attending a mass and attending a work out…
-I sometimes don’t want to HC –what if I don’t feel like going in the morning
-I sometimes feel like I don’t belong; I’m “out-of-shape” or not as experienced as others
-It’s easy to convince myself that I don’t need to “improve” –as long as I go occasionally, that is good enough
-While there, I’m often inspired by passion and commitment of others
-I almost always walk away feeling fulfilled –and/or with a new perspective if/when I don’t, it’s almost certainly because I didn’t give 100% (you gotta give it 100%!)
-I NEVER, EVER regret having gone
I’m sure others have talked about/noticed the parallel, but just figured I’d share my anecdote. Phase 4 is here, places of worship are open …and we all can do better –in all aspects of our lives. Let’s get after it!
