Introduction
The Virtuosity Q spots have been filling up quickly of late, but I was thankful to grab one this week as I have not led in about three weeks.
I was a little late out the door so had to start my intro while rucking to my workout station on the Coney Island Boardwalk. At 6:15/5:15, a PAX of 7 was ready to go.

Circle of Trust
As it is June 1st, we prayed for the PAX to have a prosperous and healthy month. We also lifted Mary, @Columbus’ M-in-law in prayer as she endures ALS.
Naked Man Moleskin
Yesterday was my first Murph. I did it without a vest and my pull ups were oftentimes suspect, but I was grateful to have joined my F3 Virtuosity brothers in honoring not just the challenge’s namesake, Lt. Murphy, but each and every member of our armed services who made the ultimate sacrificed for their fellow Americans.
Later in the day (Monday), I quipped to a friend that I’d be having a few IPAs that afternoon, to which he responded that I earned it. My retort, reflecting on the Murph challenge itself, was that I had not earned it – men and women like Lt. Murph earend it for me.
I am not on social media, except sporadically on FB, so I was unaware of a poorly worded twit or Instagram post from the Vice President, in which she, intentionally or otherwise (I do not claim to know), seemingly disrespected America’s fallen heroes. In light of my conversation from earlier in the day, I reasoned that on a day in which we are honoring fellow citizens who offered themselves up as a sacrifice for those of us whom they largely never knew (and perhaps would neither like nor agree with), that perhaps it behooves the rest of us to offer some grace to others. Let us not rush to judgment nor condemnation. To be clear, I am not speaking specifically of the VP or what she intended to convey (as I am bereft of any knowledge germane to the post), rather I am using one of the day’s conversational topics as an illustration from which I hope to exhort my fellow HIMs to extrapolate beyond some social medial platform and apply that grace, freely to their Ms, 2.0s, colleagues, or strangers in their lives – and maybe, do so when the would-be recipient did not even deserve it. (Have I deserved the amount of grace I received in this life? Certainly not.)
If anyone has messed up in life anywhere close to the ballpark as I, they, too, I am sure, could use their fair share of grace and mercy. And if we can use it, if we need it, then let’s similarly be generous with graciousness, patience, and kindness to those in our respective lives.
