Todays Devotion “Forgive” Luke 23:34
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
Message:
He fully understands the shortsightedness of the human condition. HE can empathize with being sucked into evil and he was able to see past that one act and address them as valued human beings. The sight allows Jesus to see past the sin and can see our need for healing and forgiveness. Jesus is willing and eager to forgive you today.
We pray for Ukraine and for the many young souls that are battling for their country’s freedom and land. We pray for God to help those find their loved ones and bring them together and to protect them through this tough time of war, and for the families that have lost a loved one through this war to find them so they could be at peace. We pray that God works his way to Putin’s heart to give him the wisdom and understanding to end this war and give the Ukrainian people their land back. We also pray that God helps us become better sons, husbands, and friends. We also thank God for giving us this day to wake up to come out and get stronger, healthier, and spiritually stronger.

I shared some words about today’s devotion; at first, I thought there was a glitch in my phone or in the app because it was the same devotion from Saturday that I shared with 07oo OP, but it wasn’t, and that it was a sign from God that there is a reason for me reread it and share my thoughts. For the last year and past couple of months, I have been finding it hard to get out of bed at 4 am to get ready to come out due to fighting with myself on why I come out to work out. There have been times that my M kept telling me to open up and talk because it seemed like I’m running away from something and causing a huge distance between us; I kept saying I’m not running away from anything and that I’m good and fine, but then now I realize that she was right I was running away. I was running away from forgiveness, I was running away from what God has planned for me, I was running away from problems that were going on personally and using F3 as an escape route to hide from all these things and put a mask on as if I was the same person from the day I started. Now I have taken back what I was running from and used it as fuel to help push me to become a better person, better husband, and better friend. I have been having a hard time forgiving my dad for what he has done to my mom, but after reading the devotion twice I know now that every man has the option of making their own choices, and sometimes those choices can affect the entire family. I as a son still respect and love my dad but to forgive him I need to as well, not as a favor to him but because it is the way God has made us. We must remember that we once have sinned in our lives and that we are not perfect as well, but It is God who has forgiven us first and we should do the same. Even though Jesus knew that the men were killing him and playing for clothes He still asked for God to forgive them so that they to have a chance to walk through the golden gates of heaven. So, if you are holding a grudge or holding your anger in think twice and look to the sky and reach out to that person and let them know you have forgiven them.
