Introduction

I have been looking forward to bringing “The Gauntlet” to Naperville.  Jellystone and Denmother have done a great job sharing this ruck workout with the PAX of Plainfield of few times.  As GTE 30 gets closer, we all need to continue to sharpen our skills, get use to being under weight, and getting our minds right.  This workout involves all of this.

The weather was a cooler 45 degrees but no wind.  Great morning to work up a sweat.  Went for a quick EC Ruck with Jellystone and Stormchaser for Movember Miles.

Warm-O-Rama

We counted the number of PAX and than I had each PAX look at their ruck to see if was “dressed”.  This is not something new but not habit for all PAX.  We counted 10 Rucks not dressed which equaled 2 burpees per PAX.

-penalty burpees x 20

-Abe va goads x 10

-arm circles x 10

-tappy tap x 10

The Thang

Have PAX count of by 3’s.

Team 1: grab a 40lbs sandbag and march the parking lot loop twice.

Team 2: grab a 40lbs sandbag and march the parking lot loop once.

Team 3: Enter The Gauntlet (each PAX will complete in any order each station)

Station 1: (2) Coupon Farmer Carry – 25 yards and back

Station 2: 40# SB Throw – 25 yards and back

Station 3: 60# SB Clean and Press – Flip Overhead – 10 Reps

Station 4: 80# SB Carry – 25 yards and back

Station 5: 120# SB Deadlift – 10 Reps

Team 2 will replace Team 3 in the Gauntlet, Team 3 will march 2 loops.  Team 1 will replace Team 2 after their final lap.  Rinse and repeat.  Each team will be in the gauntlet twice.  About 2 miles of Ruck March.

Circle of Trust

This morning was my first Naperville Q since I started on the journey of building F3 Crossroads almost 2 years ago.  It felt great to get out and lead the PAX of BP instead of just being a DR PAX.  If you have not been to DR to Plainfield or another region, get out there.  You can’t ask for a better set up then Plainfield being right down the street from BP.  The experience of meeting new PAX, seeing different workouts, experiencing new AO’s, and the 2nd F is a lot of fun.  Get out of your comfort zone and see all that F3 has to offer.  This even goes for exploring all the AO’s in your own region.  Get on the Q sheet and share what you have learned.

Naked Man Moleskin

It was great to see the PAX of BP getting after it this morning.  The more we prepare, the better PAX will feel about the unknown of GTE!!
