Four Score and Seven Years Ago…
That’s 87 Years (A Score = 20 Years)
When Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address in 1863 he was referring back to 87 years ago or specifically 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed…
He gave this speech during the heart of this countries Civil War. It was a time of disruption to say the least.
- Disruption around the health of our nation – our Fitness
- Disruption around a divide amongst men who were meant to all be created equal – our Fellowship
- Disruption around our communities and our believe systems and God – our Faith
Yet he was referring back to the vision in the Declaration of Independence from 1776 that really was the first concept this country put forth on being “Freed to Lead”.
I love Lincoln Games. I love the spirt of it because it’s a reminder of how we can POSITIVELY disrupt all 3 F’s in our lives, with our brothers, in our communities for a greater good.
So in this Gloomsburg Address…
