Introduction
I arrived early to DT to prep the grounds only to find Twilight rocking out to some 70’s classic rock laying on the ground with some big a$$ rubber band wrapped around his legs. As I set up cones over the hill I saw commotion in the distance & it was Tonka chasing Muggsy around during EC yelling, “Wait for meeeeee!!!” As I appeared back over the hill Wine in a Box startled me in stealth mode with his 40 lb ruck on. Needless to say it was a busy morning & that was by 5:05. The men started coming in hot (Patchouli would not talk to House Arrest b/c he did not come to EC) & we quickly circled up welcoming our new FNG Tim to the group.

Accountability was the name of the game today men. You were accountable for the effort you put in, in order to support your partner. Accountability is a daily task that is not only accomplished individually but with the help of others. We first learn of accountability in the first quadrant of Q Source which is the recognition of wanting to Get Right to change yourself as a man & holding yourself to be accountable to that mission. In quadrant 2 we better understand accountability in terms of its importance b/c we learn your life is not your own. We learn we have blind spots in accountability & we need help to be accountable in those blind spots. Men I recently had a lapse in accountability to my family. One of my blind spots is when I set my mind to something I can get so wrapped up in that thing it consumes everything of me & I tend to tune out the other important things to me. As many of you are aware we launched a new F3 region a couple weeks ago & like I said I was dedicating a ton of time to ensure we had a strong & well thought out plan working on that in the evenings & weekends. Over that time I did not recognize & was not being accountable to the needs of my family. I had to take a step back this past weekend & just really shut everything down & reconnect with my family. I just challenge you to recognize your blind spots & not only be accountable to yourself but help others as well be accountable in their blind spots. “Accountability shines the light of hope into a man’s blind spots”
Dear lord, thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness. We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our communities. Watch over those in our spoken prayers as well as those that are in our hearts that are not as fortunate as many of us & give them healing & strength in their struggles. In your name we pray. Amen!
