I shared the story of Cerberus, a 3 headed hell hound who in Greek Mythology prevents the dead from leaving the Underworld. This was a theme for today’s run which also included 4am 45 minute EC run + a 445am 30 minute EC run into the 40 minute 515am Run Club.
The Theme: Escaping an Underworld
- I asked the PAX if they would rather have 1 Billion Dollars or 1 Billion Seconds (32 Years)? In other words, what carries more value? Now if you chose 1 Billion Dollars, what if I then told you, you would be dead in 3 months, or had the money but were stuck in a well with no way to access your money? Time is a valuable resource.
- Which can lead to what F3 teaches us in that F3 is an organization of leaders, a lizard organization which requires movement to advantage. Sure money can move you to advantage however time carries more value as it allows you the true opportunity and chance to actually advance. You can not move if you’re dead and if you’re dead, your money does not carry it’s value. Lately, I shared with the PAX, how I’ve seen people try to keep me down, how they try to bury me, how they work to HOLD ME DOWN UNDER GROUND…in the Underworld if you will. Yet it’s movement in time that proves to be most valuable. Much like today, at a Free Men’s workout, I can feel the lift of the EC OYO cause I know our team is near, not money. I can feel the lift while running with Carmen San Diego and connecting thru conversation on the 2nd EC run, not any connection to money. And I can feel the lift from the 9 PAX who showed up to start and finish together on the Run Club at 515am too which again is free, no money involved. There is great power when you have Time + Movement and especially with people. This leads to real advantage, the very advantage you just might need to escape any Underworld experience you’re having. I.E. Job loss, relationship challenges, legal battles, death in the family, financial burdens, questions about anything in life, etc.
- I closed in that today is my mom’s 80th birthday. She’s lived a couple billion seconds. She’s had next to no money her whole life. About 40 years ago, at the age of 40 herself, she had a choice to deliver me. The choice was to move. And here we are…
