Introduction
Welcome to a tribute workout to the first responders. We joined each other in the Virtual World in response to @backstage ‘s fantastic extreme workout on the anniversary of September 11. I felt that it would be an honorable thing to share in some stories and tributes to the FDNY, NYPD, Port Authority, EMTs, and Patrolmen who offered the supreme sacrifice while performing their duties for the good of the citizens they have taken an oath to protect. There were 343 FDNY, 37 Port Authority Members, 23 NYPD, 8 EMTs, and 1 Patrolmen who all perished. There were many more members who lost their lives from complications from the rescue efforts or the long term exposure to the hazards from the tragic events.

After thanking everyone for posting with me this morning, and hearing a great story from the FNG (known now and forever as) Fender Bender, I brought up the names of two FDNY members who died. The first FDNY was Firefighter Mike Kehoe who was photographed climbing the stairs as the civilians were evacuating the building. The other FDNY Firefighter was Gary Cole who was photographed in the tunnel while running to the towers because his crews truck was stuck in traffic. These are just a few stories about heroism that occurred on this fateful day. Their motivation to rush into danger with the intent to do the most good for the most people without knowing the consequences, shows nothing more than true bravery. We all need to show such devotion to our fellow man by doing the right thing without conviction even when we don’t truly know the result of our efforts.
Prayers to the friend of Beetle Bailey as he recovers from his incident. Prayers for the unspoken fears and unspoken worries that we all face. End in the Lord’s Prayer.

It was an absolute pleasure posting with such amazing HIMs this morning. I feel so connected to you and extremely grateful to see each and everyone anytime I post in the Virtuosity. It has truly been a blessing to be able to continue Virtuosity as some days I simply can not complete a workout and report to the firehouse in time. I have missed more CoTs than I can to admit. I believe it is an amazing and humbling way to remove myself from the bubble I live in and truly know the men and their families from F3. Thank you does not cover the love and gratitude I have for each and everyone in our F3 group.
