The Thang
Thang One (2 Mile Ruck) route – https://www.strava.com/routes/2926339398486038470
Line it up in two columns (GTE Style) facing the river. Since we had (3) Sandbags I instructed the PAX to keep the heaviest bag at the very front and the (2) leading behind first in line of both columns. We had a couple 80’s and one 60lb.
We stayed tight and looked good out there. We called off switches regularly however Zubaz, Clearcoat, Sweeney, and Start Up made those bags their you know what. Great work Men! Our youngin Silkscreen (17 years old) got under the 80lb for a nice stretch and we were all proud of him for doing so.
Once we arrived at McCullough Park – Lake St & Illinois – Prisco Center
I asked the PAX to drop the bags, line it up and face the Hill (West)
Sprint to the TOP
Recover on the way down
We lined it up again, this time Sweeney – Zubaz- and Tiny Dancer each picked up a sandbag and you guessed it RAN TO THE TOP! That was next level. Keep in mind the hill was steep with fresh powder, no footsteps. Recover on the way down.
Line it back up and lets head towards the flags.
We trail was snow 70% of the 2 miles, it was tough treading. I was running low on time and wanted to get one more lil thang in. I modified my plan, cutting things out. At 0600 we were at a small hill, west side of the bridge and I asked for permission to squeeze in one more thing. Abu yelled “FREE TO LEAD”, and I appreciated it yet I respect the PAX time and wanted to make sure. Permission granted! Drop the bags, line it up and ARMY Crawl to the top. A quick demonstration had them second guessing. A couple PAX modified and their names will not be disclosed. If we weren’t soaked already that definitely did it. We quickly recovered and made our way back to the flags as fast as possible.

Circle of Trust
I built off Blinky’s CoT from yesterday. He shared how he uses the “Can’t vs Won’t” filter when prioritizing his life. After work yesterday I wanted to clock some PC miles. It was around 1800 and I had to decide If I would take an hour, hour and a half for me or jump into Daddy mode. As I was rationalizing I thought of what my real estate idol Gene Rivers says, “The challenge with training is implementation”. The moment I finished that thought I knew exactly what I had to do. Blinky’s teaching would do me no good unless I implemented what I learned. I proceeded to use the filter… I can’t go into Daddy mode? or I won’t go into Daddy mode? Daddy mode it was and I would get up early and EC with Tiny Dancer. We can read, learn, and listen to audibles all day long however without IMPLEMENTATION it’s in vain. Iron sharpens Iron! Last week and this weeks CoT messages have been big on making time for our families. Let those words not be in vain.
You can’t or you won’t?
Final Prayer – 1 Bar – Our children & educators – all of us struggling with implementation.
Naked Man Moleskin
When I called out WoR I knew the folks who weren’t prepared. They couldn’t use the “Nobody told me” excuse. It was cool to see their faces as I pushed the pace. I verbalized that then and there. Blow Dry got the PAX rilled up and definitely brought the ENERGY. Barbicide was his FNG. He’s a young man from the Barber Shop. They’ve made fun of us for drinking too much F3 KooAid yet slowly but surely we’re winning that EH battle. I had Cito who’s one of the owner’s reach out today asking where we’re working out tomorrow. Set yourself on FIRE and people come out the woodworks to see you burn. The trail was horrible and just how I wanted it. Today was about creating our own path despite the pain or the easier way. It was cool to see the Men push and encourage one another. We encouraged the rotations of the bags on the regular. We never lacked volunteers wanting to get under the weight, we actually had a line of HIM’s ready to relieve their brother. It was so cool and the highlight of my Gloom. I enjoyed my EC with Tiny Dancer. I really admire that dude. I told my M he’s the type of Man you want your daughter to end up with, she chuckled but I meant it.
Last but not least we presented Start Up with a “Heart” La Luz shirt sponsored by our brother from Dark Tower who wishes to stay anonymous. I asked the PAX to reflect and hopefully get inspired by the generosity of F3Naperville. Most of us on this side of town have been taught the “victim” mindset and I’ll be dammed If we don’t change that.
I BELIEVE WE WILL! I BELIEVE WE ARE!!!
Aladdin signing off…
See you @ the TOP!
PS: Thanks Cutter for the Coffee!
