Introduction
There is no doubt in my mind that it will be colder @ Foxboro than any other F3 Naperville AO tomorrow morning. Let’s wear that like a badge and kick this cold right in the teeth. Add on those extra layers and leave those coupons @ home. LFG!
Cold morning ahead, HC’s were pretty light across the board. Arrived at the A) around 4:35am. After about 5 mornings, I think I finally memorized a good EC run route.
Warm-O-Rama
We did all of those things to warmup the body and getting ready for work. In perfect cadence.
The Thang
It’s below zero and whenever that happens, we need to be moving. Just my opinion. Coupons aren’t that much fun in that weather.
We ran over to the middle school lot (4/10 of a mile).
The Thang: Sheldon Cooper
10 Burpees
10 Squats
10 Merkins
10 Big Boys
Run a lap (1/4 mile)
Then down to 9 reps, a lap, all the way down to 1 rep of each and a lap.
Run back to the flags (4/10 of a mile).
Circle of Trust
We lifted up prayers for Boy Sandwich’s family, Hot Box, Cardinal, and any other unspoken intentions.
Naked Man Moleskin
14 years ago I received a call from my MIL that my wife was headed to the hospital to delivery our first born. She was at my mom’s for a baby shower, which was delayed due to my father’s passing in late December. I was a little caught off guard because it was about 2.5 weeks before the due date. I was shopping at the Home Depot in Lombard and had to make my way over to the hospital. A lot has changed over these 14 years. Ups and downs. Parenting challenges. I’m lucky to have a great kid. I continue to try to be the role model and hope to have a positive influence on her and the other kids. What we do here in the morning and our service to others matters. Our kids see our actions. Be that positive role model.
