Introduction

Enjoy the game tonight, but don’t let it be a reason to skip a Monday morning boot camp. Come to DT and burn off the Super Bowl chili, chips and beers that you may have overindulged in.

We’ll cover a little bit of ground, running point-to-point as a pack. At each stop it’ll be different mini-AMRAP workouts where it’s you vs. you. A tad hungover? Pace yourself. Feeling good? Push yourself. 

No excuses.

  • 10x Goofballs IC

The Thang

Point-to-point run (pearls on a string-ish) with a 3ish minute AMRAP at each stop. Exercises are repeated until we start running

Run long(er) loop to covered bridge:

Run to Nichols Parking Lot – Each PAX on an individual parking line

  • Side plank walk down
  • 5x Big Boys
  • Side plank walk back
  • 5x Glute bridges (Kim K’s?)

Run to Lou Malnati’s alley

  • 3x Wall walks (balls to wall)
  • 6x Lunges (each leg)

Run to Labyrinth

  • 10x dips
  • 10x incline merkins
  • 10x jumps or step ups
  • 10x decline merkins

Run to Landforms Sculpture

I recently heard a quote:

I don’t know much about this lady or her books so I definitely do not endorse her, but I like the main idea of this message. As we age, we must recognize that the story we write each day becomes who we are. Make healthy choices, do good things, surround yourself with positive people. As I approach another year around the Sun, recognize that I can’t hold myself to perfect decisions, but I aim to make more good choices than bad. Coming out this morning and being around a bunch of solid dudes was a definitely a healthy, positive and productive way to start the day and week.

Naked Man Moleskin

Everyone was able to work at their desired level and I felt a good energy. I was blasting the tunes but rumor has it that some PAX were blasting a$$ from their Super Bowl beers and fried foods. Glad I was in the front and not the back of the pack. A lesson learned today? Even if the Jane Fonda’s stop, don’t turn off “In the Air Tonight” before the drums hit.
