Introduction
First Q ever…. was a bit nervous but overcame that quickly, seeing that my plans the night before on paper matched what I anticipated at the AO. “12 Steps to Fischer” was the perfect title for this VQ and I will surely bring it back out for a re-visit in the near future.

12 Steps to Fischer
Returning from Mosey had the PAX choose partners. Trickle and I became one 🙂
“12 Steps to Fischer” consisted of a 12 post course, that included 12-STANDS W/FLAGS clearly noting (2) different exercises. (1) Coupon Exercise and (1) Body Weight Exercise. Each person on a team was told to complete one of each exercise and then continue onto the next post. At the base of the stand the teams were given direction on how to travel from post to post which was between 100-300ft away.
Travel menu had a variety of options consisting of; Run-Bear Crawl-Crab Walk-Partner Carry-and Wheelbarrow.
Each team of two people drew cards to Pre-determine their starting position on the course. Seeing we only had 5 teams (10-PAX), I took all even numbers out and had only odd numbers to pick from. This allowed each team a 1-post gap in between each other designed not to create a bottle neck condition. Posts 1-3-5-7 & 9 were chosen and we all headed to our locations. At the sound of my whistle we all began!
Below are the 12 Posts of pain that the PAX endured. All of us completed a full loop and some complete 13-14 in total.

My Message of Gratitude to the HIM’s of F3 Naperville
Men!
It’s sometimes hard to thank someone for giving me the freedom to live the life God has so graciously given to me.
Before F3 I lived the life of mediocrity! I followed instead of lead! I’ve quit before I have started, I’ve committed but never went and god knows I’ve cheated to get ahead!
My thanks is to all of you! Thank you for everything you do, Thank you for rising before the sun and volunteering your time to embrace the SUCK of the beatdowns F3 certainly delivers day In, and day out, to make us better HIM’s.
For this I am forever grateful as your participation is a beacon of belief that this group, all of F3 Naperville and for what we stand for! Fitness-Fellowship-Faith. This is bigger than me, it’s bigger then all of you! It is truly something special. Embrace it MEN it is your code and credo now!
Weather you all realize it or not you have given up so much for this group, and I personally believe that this is something that cannot be repaid.
Most men I know, believe life is about waking up, hitting their 8-5, returning home, turning on their favorite show, ignoring their kids and letting their Wife handle the rest while they snuggle up to the couch and that ever so familiar indent left from previous visits.
I think this applies to none of you! I recognize the selflessness you’ve all have demonstrated with your willingness to serve this group with your commitment to stay healthy, engage fellow HIMs and deliver a helping hand when others are In need without the ever familiar “what’s in it for me” mentally I see too often outside of this group!
Thank you all, for your hard work and your dedication. It is no secret that your training, or any part to being a HIM is easy. This past Nov 23rd I was EH’d by Urkel! His approach was in-depth, precise and motivating to say the least. However! Don’t tell him…. but he had me at “don’t make it weird bro, ITS FREE”
Prior to posting 3 days later I had my reservations and I always knew it was going to be hard, but I never realized how much it really was until Bedpan enforced a Dora beatdown up the ridge hill! That had me dry heaving just before COT with just enough recovery time to to be named Bobby Fischer. It was then I knew I have found a family away from family!
Thank you for your bravery, strength, hard work, commitment, dedication and willingness to do the hard things that are required of you ITG day in and day out.
You’ve given up your mornings to show up ITG, and set an example for the FNG’s. This is something I don’t take lightly for I was once an FNG scared, cold and confused on why the hell i’m up at this time, layered to the hilt, slinging a cinder block around a school parking lot wondering to myself hmmm….. “not sure if this is a good look” for the innocent bystander.
But then again whom I kidding, no one in their sane mind would be up this early to witness this madness unless they lived our CREDO. You all are cut from a different cloth my friends! I’m proud of you men and it was an honor to lead you for my first of many Q’s to come.
Let’s pray for the many who need them and the many who are effected by their circumstances.
We finished with the Lord’s Prayer.
