Introduction
Today was my VQ from Central Illinois.
It was a roller coaster themed beatdown, with the emphasis being on both form and focus.

The Thang
You are using a coupon for all the main exercises in Thang 1, 2, & 3.* Once you start a Thang, your coupon should never touch the ground*
. Thang 1
- Push Press
- Overhead Tricep Extension
- Bent Over Row
- Curl
On your own…Ascending workout, starting at round 1 – 1 rep each, and ending at round 7 – 7 reps each. The first person to finish notifies the Q. They start doing Merkins, until everyone finishes the current round they are on. Once everyone is doing Merkins, the Q jumps in with a cadence count to 10 to wrap things up.
On your own…Descending workout, starting at your last completed round, and ending on round 1 – 1 rep each. The first person to finish notifies the Q. They start doing Burpees, until everyone finishes the current round they are on. Once everyone is doing Burpees, the Q jumps is with a cadence count to 10 to wrap things up.
Thang 2
- Goblet Squat
- Lunge(each let 1/2)
- Straight Leg Deadlift
- Calf Raise while holding your coupon overhead(1,2,3 count=1)
This follows the same pattern as Thang 1. After the ascending leg of this thang is complete, they start doing SSH. After the descending leg is complete, they start doing Burpee Jacks.
Thang 3(should look familar)
- Push Press
- Goblet Squat
- Overhead Tricep Extension
- Lunge(each leg 1/2)
- Bent Over Row
- Straight Leg Deadlift
- Curl
- Calf Raise while holding your coupon overhead(1,2,3 count=1)
Follows the same pattern as the first two Thang’s, except you are starting from round 7 and descending. After completed, they hold high plank.
