Introduction
Another day, another Q at Iron Lion. Love it.
Thankfully the rain disappeared and it was going to be cool, so no bugs! That means lets use that football field.
Man . . . its nice not having to leave the house at 4:15AM to set up 800 pounds of equipment for a Q. Maybe Cousin eddie and his “minimalist design” Qs is on to something . . . . I should take notes.
Speaking of Cousin Eddie . . . that guy came flying in like . . .. 20 minutes into the workout. Respect respect.
A bunch of new guys here today . . . oh boy are they in for a treat. 🙂

The Thang
100 yards marked off at 10 yard increments with lighted cones.
Partner up!
Partner 1- Farmers carry both coupons 10 yards, then drop and 10 abyss merkins. Farmers carry to next cone. 9 total cones= 90 total Abyss Merkins and 100 yards of double coupon farmers carry.
Partner 2- Run suicides the whole length of the field until your partner finishes the farmers carry. Then switch and come back.
Alternate between Al Gore and Plank for the 6 to get on on each set of partners before starting the next set.
EXERCISES

- Thrusters (yep . . . 90 thrusters)
- Bent over Rows
- Double coupon curls (one in each arm) ((this had to be cut short due to time. So we alternated 10 yards then 10 curls, then switched with our partner)
In the end we travelled over 2 miles!!

Circle of Trust
Something that Belichick said to me last year that will always stick with me is “run and enjoy this while you can, because there will be a time when you want to and then you cant.” So be thankful for the opportunity we have to work out, run and enjoy the fellowship ITG. Father Time remains undefeated, so while we still can, lets continue to improve our physical condition and take care of ourselves. We owe it to our families, our Ms, our 2.0s to be healthy and present for them. So do not take these workouts lightly and fartsack. We are all blessed to be able to physically exercise and keep our bodies healthy.
I remembered Faceplant saying to me about an FNG that came out a few weeks ago, “If that guy sticks with it he will easily add 10-15 years of functional life”. That is worth getting up early.

Mr Belding- As usual quietly one of the strongest guys in F-3 making it look easy.
Ronda-Â One thing about Ronda that often gets overlooked is what a leader he is. He encourages and builds up new guys and helps them push farther and harder to get better. This kind of quiet leadership is what makes Ronda such an important piece of F-3
Cousin Eddie- You made up for sleeping in by getting after it with a vengeance. Ill talk to the powers that be and see if I can put in a good word for this still counting as a post for you. I give it a 50/50 chance . . . but Ill do my best . . . .
Baywatch- DAMN! One helluva partner today my man. You killed it. You couldnt tell under 16 layers in the winter, but you have some SERIOUS guns!!
Oil Spill- Welcome! hell of a job pushing today! Your form on Thrusters was damn perfect! (Almost uncle rico esque I daresay . . . .
Ticker Tape- I know you like running almost as much as I do, so thank you for gutting it out. getting stronger every day!
Mellencamp- You have gone from the quiet new guy to the guy leading everyone else in exercises. Absolute domination by you today . . . as usual. (F YOU HOOTIE FOR SNIPING ME ON MELLENCAMP IN LINCOLN GAMES)
Speaker City- Welcome! Another guy that loves running as much as I do! And WTF is up with that truck broski . . . that is straight out of “pimp my ride”.
Cowbell- Yep. I definitely want to see more cowbell. Great job pushing today, and welcome to F-3!
Sulley- Absolutely fantastic site Q, and THANK YOU for keeping an eye on the new guys. This workout was definitely not for the faint of heart . . .
