Introduction
We came together this morning to see what 2020 had in store for us. Turns out, 2020 is a real dick…

The Thang
One simple thing for the entire workout. I called it roller coaster 2020. Pax came up and picked a piece of paper out of a cup that had an exercise on it. We then did a corresponding number of reps of that exercise for the month of the year (Jan = 10 reps, Feb = 20 reps, Mar = 30 reps… all the way up thru December at 120 reps).
I can’t recall what each month ended up being, but I know we started with 10 Burpees (yay us!) and ended with 120 Derkins with some moans, groans, and awesome Christmas music in between. For good measure, because we had a little time, we decided to let 2020 throw another month at us (such a 2020 thing to do) and got the pleasure of doing 130 Carolina Drydocks. 🙂

Circle of Trust
2020 has been many things to all of us, and most of those things have been negative. It’s important that we aren’t too quick to brush those things aside because it’s these troubled times that also give us reminders of the things we have to be grateful for. And despite all the challenges, the reality is that we also have A LOT to be thankful for still and we do well to remember that.
I pray that each of us can make it through the day without complaining. That’s not to say there won’t be things to complain about, it just means that we have the choice in every situation.
Prayers for Wedding Planners friend (also in F3, but the name slips me right now) for their son Oliver who was just born 5 weeks premature, that he’s a fighter, strong and healthy and for his parents and the doctors and nurses supporting his first days/weeks in this world.
Naked Man Moleskin
I got to thinking a little about 2020 and that got me thinking about Noonan. I always liked how he brought his dog out for workouts sometimes so in tribute to Noonan, I brought out my lab Sidney to work out with us this morning. I think she liked it, but not sure doing Derkins with a lab on your chest is the best idea.
