Introduction

Picked this up last minute, and had some ideas. Decided to go with a workout that took advantage of a few things – I need to run, but hate running on hard surfaces. The turf field meant I could push myself, and still run in the dark.

And I wanted to do some combos that would be painful, either for running, or for my weak spots.

Threw this together, and the number of reps seemed crazy high, so I decided to go with it.

The Thang

Only one Thang

Carry coupons to turf field, line up at the end zone.

World’s worst Webb 11s

Start

1:4 combo of blockees and overhead presses, up to 10:40

Run entire football field

10:40 combo of air squats and Bonnie Blairs down to 1:4

Thang 2 and Mary never happened. We pushed to completion. Two PAX succeeded, and all of us came close.

Circle of Trust

Didn’t plan for the workout, so I didn’t plan for the COT. Just thought of doing stuff that challenged me, and hope it challenged everyone else.

Quoted JFK again. We are Americans, who bear any burden, and pay any price. Despite the safetyism surrounding us, remember there are people out there worse off. Challenge yourself to bear a small extra burden today, tomorrow, be it physically or mentally. For friends, self, family, community. Push hard to be better for someone else.

Feeling extra winded, so I did a short prayer over the pledge of allegiance, but I shouldn’t have skipped it. I think that’s my comfort level for sign off, going forward.

Naked Man Moleskin

2 pax finished (and I apologize that I can’t remember who I missed today!)

That’s 55 blockees, 55 air squats, 220 overhead presses, and 220 Bonnie Blairs! (or 110 BBs if you’re crazy enough to count jumps as only half). Plus 1.5 miles of running.

I personally came 40 OP short, and one more run across the field. Which while I hate being unable to finish, I love that I could push myself to do that much. Especially getting past my leg injury to even be able to do a Bonnie blair again. What a difference a couple of months make. Thank you F3.

Thang 2 was going to really suck, so that’ll happen on another BC
