I guess I could’ve gone against protocol and announced my pre blast a few days ago to get more people to commit, but who would do something like that?
We’re playing basketball tomorrow at the bear. Nothing more, nothing less. 55 minutes of basketball. Please bring a white shirt and a navy blue/black shirt. Not a red shirt and a yellow shirt, not a light grey and a dark grey. White and black/navy. Meet at the normal parking lot, we’ll pick teams, and mosey to courts. HC below!
As Goldberg said, the sunrise this morning was fabulous, rolled in at 6:20.

Warm-O-Rama
The warmup was picking teams:
urban cowboy, Aladdin, tractor beam, brother bluto, and cousin Eddie

then mosey to the courts
The Thang
We ended up playing 3 games, all won by team urban cowboy. First game to 11, next to 7, third game to 5 or so.
loser of game 2 had to do 10 burpees back at the flags
Circle of Trust
If you were to rewind 10 years ago and tell me that I’d be playing basketball at 6:30am on a Saturday, I’d think you were crazy. My COTs have a common theme, and it’s how much a positive impact mentally it has on all of us.
the next time you don’t feel like posting, don’t think about the physical till the workout will take on you, think about the positive effect it will have on you mentally for that entire day.
Naked Man Moleskin
A few observations from this morning:
urban Cowboy: the dudes a straight baller. He doesn’t ask for the ball in the post, he demands it. No one can stop him, and that’s even with fouls that could be considered crimes.
tractor beam: he’s sneaky smooth, has a great j and floor awareness. He obviously balled back in the day
aladdin: silky but aggressive at the same time. Kind of has a Westbrook mentality out there.
brother bluto: fundamentally sound baller. Boxes out, sets good screens, calm and collected.
cousin Eddie: shooters gotta shoot
Goldberg: defensive machine, shot blocker, rebounder, runs the floor as good as anyone
chain link: explosive, quick, good finisher at the rim, I don’t think he ever gets tired
chazz: had the job of taking on cowboy, solid defense, relentless no give up attitude
flush: shooters gotta shoot
