Introduction

Monday’s are for Mayhem. I give you a zero burpee guarantee. That’s all I guarantee.

Coupons, yes. Sandbags, optional.

Come kick Monday in the teeth.

Serena was able to sit on his little callout hands for a solid 4 hours before he started getting jumpy.  By 9 last night, we had a solid group of 8.

Beautiful morning, right around 30 degrees. Arrived at the alternate AO (the field behind the VFW) around 0430 (Blinky was likely 4 miles into his EC…) to set up Thang 2.  Moseyed over to DT as Serena was taking his final pregame tinkle and we were off.

Warm-O-Rama

Today was YHC’s first trip back ITG after 7-10 days rest from an overuse injury, so the warm up would not be cheated.

Mosey, sprinkled in with some walking hamstring and quad stretches. Loosened up the shoulders and we were ready to work.

Mosey to the covered bridge.

The Thang

Thang 1: 10 x 10 x 10.

10 pullups 10 dive bomber merkins for 10 rounds.  Form, not a race. Brief rest after each round (30 seconds).

Indigenous Person run to the field behind the VFW “Smokey’s Backyard Playground” for Thang 2.

Thang 2: 4 stations set up. Partner up, each group at a station.

-Station 1: Snow sled with a TRX style band hooked on it. Partner 1 lays in the sled. Partner 2 pulls the sled approximately 50 yards, turns around, and drags (walk backwards) the sled back to the start.

-Station 2: 25 lb medicine ball. Partners stand back to back and pass the ball back and forth (twisting core work)

-Station 3: Sandbag & Coupon. Bear crawl, dragging the coupon or Sandbag.  The “odd man” 9th guy had a 50 lb bucket to carry back and forth.

-Station 4: 10 lb medicine ball. Toss between partners.

All stations move when both PAX at Station 1 are done.

Indigenous Person run back to the DT parking lot.

Some yoga in flow for 2 minutes until 6 bells.

Circle of Trust

Prayers lifted up for Gaylords nephew, Sparklers daughter, Boo-Boo’s family, and several others.

CoT referenced Giving Thanks. Not Thanksgiving, but being thankful. Our PD “adopted” an 8 year old, Breckin, who had terminal brain cancer. Breckin was a brave, joyful boy, and passed away last week. Instead of being mad, Breckin’s family has been full of joy and thanks for the time they’ve had with Breckin.

So many in the world want to turn things into what’s wrong. Let’s use Breckin & his family as a reminder to focus on and be thankful for the gifts we do have.

Closed with a prayer of thanksgiving.

Naked Man Moleskin

Great to be back ITG with the boys again. Serena prompted me to take the Q when I told him I was targeting today for the return.

Great to see Gaylord again. It’s been a minute. Also super cute to listen to he and Laimbeer bro out about CrossFit.

Loved the smaller group today. Allowed us to have some solid Mumble chatter.  Great group of PAX.  Thanks for coming out to play today men!
