Tons of great options to post, as all AO’s are loaded with great leaders.  I have several ideas, but not sure which workout I’ll be bringing just yet.  If you find yourself east, come out to The Bear and bring a coupon.

The Thang

The morning thunderstorm had us calling an audible to meet at the Pavilion.  Fortunately, all PAX happened to have a jump rope with them.  We decided to use the jump rope in lieu of running since there was still active lightning in the area.

Thang 1:  20/30’s.  Each PAX partnered up.  One PAX did 50 rep’s(20 of one exercise and 30 of the other), while the other PAX did continuous jump rope(usually about 1 minute).  6 Rounds of the following exercises:

Dips/Bonnie Blairs

Box Jumps/Plank Jacks

Diamond Merkins/Squats

Carolina Dry-Docks/LBC’s

Curls/Skull crushers

Overhead Press/ Dips

Bent Over Rows/Lunges

Thang 2:  11’s with Merkins and Big Boy Situps.  Jogged around the pavilion in between each set.

Took a short break to mosey around the AO, about 1/4 – 1/2 mile.

Thang 3:

Burpees, Shoulder Shrugs, Overhead Press, Curls and skull-crushers – all sets of 15.

Circle of Trust

Psalm 25(David):  The Lord is good and does what is right, he shows the proper path to those who go astray.  He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.

After hearing other PAX discussing their feelings about how many PAX show up for their Q’s last week, I’ve been thinking about humility and wanted to share.  We are all excited to Q and have a huge showing, whether it be for Manniversary’s, Birthdays, monumental numbers or just the average post.  However, the intended F3 size for workouts was smaller groups(8-10).  While it’s awesome to post with a large group and see many striving for similar goals, I also love posting with smaller groups too.

It’s fitting that there are 4 of us here on this dark morning with thunderstorms moving through the area.  I enjoy the mumble chatter with smaller groups and feel like I get to know the PAX that are posting better in smaller groups.

Please don’t be offended if you lead a Q and hardly anybody shows up.  We all have a variety of reasons for not coming on a daily basis, or a need to attend a different AO, whether it be for physical limitations, job schedules, family duties, etc.  I would love to come to all of your Q’s, but we just can’t be everywhere at the same time.  Don’t be offended, but rather show humility in the moment.

Naked Man Moleskin

Chazz technically didn’t fartsack since he called Urban Cowboy to let him know he wasn’t coming.  Great burner this morning with lots of calories burned…all without moving around very much.  Was very excited when everyone said they had a jump rope, as that made the pavilion workout plan a lot easier.  We’ll make it a point to get some running in the next time I’m at The Bear.
