Thank you for joining me this morning.  Today’s workout was designed to attack your weaknesses with your brothers.  Most everyone hates bearcrawls and burpees, so why not continue to get better at them together.

2020 has been a crazy year that has caused me to attack my weaknesses in other areas.  Little background on my year…. my wife is a teacher and struggled once she went back to work after her maternity leave was over.  So in February, we made the decision for her to take one year off and stay home with our two girls.  Shortly after that was put in motion, the pandemic hit and my job was furloughed for three months.  In June, I was laid off from my job due to budget cuts and we found ourselves in the unfortunate position of two adults without a job.  It has been scary and stressful to think that neither of us had a true income and job hunting has been very frustrating and unsuccessful.  Recently I started working with Toby on attacking my weaknesses professionally and he is helping me to rework my LinkedIn profile and resume.  I’ve been home for over 6 months now without a job and every day is the same… I workout, go home and spend the day with my wife and two little girls under the age of 3.  The biggest thing that has helped me push through these crazy times is this F3 brotherhood, as I look forward to that hour I get to spend each morning in the gloom.  It gives me something to look forward to each day and I hope that each of you feel the same way about our time together each morning.  We don’t show up for ourselves each morning…. we show up to push and support each other mentally, physically and spiritually and help each other start each day off right.  Definitely get your rest days in, but also remember that your brothers need you in the gloom the next time you wake up and think about going back to sleep.  I would not be able to navigate these crazy times if it was not for this brotherhood.

“You cannot see brotherhood; neither can you hear it nor taste it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day. It is the pat on the back when things look gloomy. It is the smile of encouragement when the way seems hard. It is the helping hand when the burden becomes unbearable.” – Peter E. Terzick
