I hope to see some OP Regulars out, but a special invite goes out to the PAX who kicked some ass at Two Wolves this morning. Let’s run it BACK! Bring your coupons as we will use them for some of the Thangs. Let’s finish off the work week strong
Arrived at the AO early to do some scouting of the grounds. Apparently it was supposed to snow over night. Who knew? Not me. (See more on that below)

“Trust: it can take years to build, seconds to break and sometimes, forever to repair”
I had the honor / privilege / obligation (?) of attending a leadership conference for work last week. We discussed three topics. Trust. Transparency. Teamwork. While I enjoy the results of teamwork, and LOVE the benefits of transparency, it all starts with Trust.
What are we doing to earn the trust of those around us? How are we making others around us better by giving them our trust? More importantly, once we earn this trust, how are we maintaining it?
This reminded me of another saying that is something along the lines of “it takes years to build a reputation and seconds to destroy it”. Reminds me of the football player from the Las Vegas Raiders who drove under the influence and ended up costing someone (and their dog) their life. He had worked hard and made a name of himself to get to the NFL and be successful. All for that to be taken away (or given away, really) because of a stupid lapse in judgement.
Let’s remember that with reputation, and with trust, we need to put in the work to achieve optimal results. But it does not stop there. We need to continue to nurture and build on the foundation. Otherwise, everything you had built could come tumbling down in an instant with almost no clear path to fix.
Naked Man Moleskin
I woke up before my alarm this morning. Around 4:37 I decided to just get out of bed and get ready. Figure I get to the AO early to see if the paths were still nice and paved from the snow we got on Monday. Got dressed, walked down my stairs, looked out the window and to my SURPRISE…there was MORE snow! I had no idea it was supposed to snow. The whole drive to the AO I started thinking of possible modifications to my originally planned beatdown. When I got to the OP, I walked around the paths towards the first shed/building and thought it wasn’t too bad. We could probably still do my planned exercises there. Went over to the pavilion by the baseball fields. They were somewhat clear. Some packed snow in areas. I ended up rotating some of the tables to allow more space for the horizontal pull ups. Went back to the main lot with the flags. Guys were slowly coming in. Road conditions kind of sucked. Thought about scrapping the sprinting idea but instead modified it. I wanted to give guys a change of pace from the moseying to get the heart rates up a bit.
I had fun with the playlist for today. Some Metal, some Rock, some Punk. Old and new. Mixed back and forth. Even Snorkel gave me a ‘pat on the back’ for one of the songs! One of my favorite things about planning a beatdown is the playlist. Spend more time on that then I should probably admit.
Super appreciative of the guys that came out, despite the weather, to support me and to push me. The brotherhood built here is something special.
Always an honor – BC
P.S. Bronco and One Eye Willy – you guys are ready for your VQ’s. Lets goooooooo!!!!
