Introduction

The Outpost 0700 Saturday Bootcamp’s have had a little resurgence since Appletini took over the Site-Q duties a month or two ago. When YHC was reminded about his Q this Saturday last weekend he thought it was a decent time to circle the wagons and try and harken back to the days of yore when Dark Tower Saturday’s used to bring out 20+ Pax weekly. EH’ing started on Tuesday with texts and DM’s and the challenge to outpull (and out work!!!!) the “OG AO” was on!

Warm-O-Rama

The Pax circled up and were welcomed to the Darkest of Towers and we were off. Curds and Boxcutter coming in hot would have to find and catch us!

Moseyed down towards the Cafe where we circled up for Good Morning’s IC x 15, Imperial Walkers IC x 15, Mountain Climbers IC x 15, and Motivators from 10.

WoR continued as we Caterpillar’d down the path from the Cafe to the Tower.

Next Warm-up was sort of a mini-Thang but was still a WoR for the MAIN THANG. We found some benches and steps over by the little lake where we worked our way through 10 Box Jumps + 10 Dips…9 Jumps + 9 Dips…all the way down to Zero.

The Thang

The Pax gathered on the north side of the Hill, on the path down by the River. Each found a spot on the path facing the Flag at the top of the Hill. Instructions were given:

4 Rounds of the following:

10 Carolina Dry Docks + 20 Superman Merkins + 30 Hydraulics + 40 Monkey Humpers + 50 Plank Jax. When finished run up the Hill to the flag and back down to the path. That was 1 round. The Pax completed 4 Rounds. YHC felt this was very IronPax-esque with a lot of reps followed by a short-ish burst of running. Hills always add a little extra juice too.

Once all finished, we jumped back into Caterpillar formation for 6 minutes. This started to break some souls I think. Legs were a little wobbly from the Thang and the hill runs. Jumping over planking Pax was proving difficult but each Pax found a way to modify in their own way to keep the line moving and that’s what it’s all about! Not to mention the continued Plank holding, which also had it’s own share of modifying.

All moseyed back to the main Lot where we wrapped with a full set of Captain Thor, making it all the way to 10 BBSU’s and 40 American Hammers!

Circle of Trust

“If you’re focused on what’s wrong with your life, you won’t see what’s good. Intentional thoughts helps us create an intentional life. Think positive. Believe the best is yet to come!”

Special Prayers this morning for Flush and his family as they self-quarantine due to some COVID fears of a close family friend.

Naked Man Moleskin

#TClaps to all the Pax that came out and kick started their weekend with YHC. The “OP vs DT” friendly competition was just that, there was nothing on the line other than some bragging rights (DT’s 23 Pax crushed OP’s 12 by the way) but sometimes we need to create our own little battle or challenge to keep things alive and fresh. With this little game, YHC was able to reach out to guys  like Disclaimer and Ebeneezer and Boxcutter and Wedding Planner during the week and then get to work out alongside them today. That’s one of the fun parts this community brings can offer to each of us. It brought out Chaps and Blueprints who haven’t posted a ton regularly of late. It can be easy to get in a rut and lose focus on our Acceleration when we aren’t pushed. Sometimes we need some EH’ing or some friendly banter to get our competitive juices flowing. Speaking of competitive juices, it’s now IronPax Challenge time. Week Zero starts this week. Time for F3 Naperville to put in some WERK!

Love you boyz,

Uncle Rico
