Introduction
PreBlast Wednesday Outpost 5:15am!
It looks like it is going to be another wonderful morning ITG tomorrow. Come join me for a full body beatdown. We will use coupons. We will cover some ground. You will burn some calories. HC below and lets go!
Got to the AO around 5:05. Nice and cool. Perfect temperature. Got in a few fist bumps. Watched the last of the cars roll in. Roach Coach was here! (Nice).
5 Core Principals and Disclaimer were recited. Push yourself, but don’t hurt yourself. Go time.
Warm-O-Rama
Tappy Taps IC x 12
Imperial Squat Walker IC x 10
Start our Mosey towards the tennis courts while doing some dynamic warm-ups which included High Knees, Butt Kickers, Carioca Right, Carioca Left, Mosey, High Skip, and final Mosey.
We are warm.
The Thang
Thang 1 – Tennis Court Modified 7 of Diamonds
Each PAX claimed a corner of one of the tennis courts. Depending on the round, we would perform x amount of reps of the same exercise at each corner while moving around in a set motion. When going North you run, Shuffle left when going West, Bernie Sanders when going South, and Shuffle right when going East to starting corner.
Round 1: 7 Burpees at each corner, hold plank for 6 when back to corner 1.
Round 2: 14 Merkins at each corner, hold plank for 6.
Round 3: 21 LBCs at each corner, hold plank for 6.
Round 4: 14 Squats at each corner, hold squat for 6 (cause it gave us a good BURN).
Round 5: 7 Carolina Dry Docks at each corner, squat for the 6.
Thang 2 – Bataan Death March
Counted off by 2 and formed two lines. Similar to an Indian Run, but the last PAX in line drops down for two burpees then sprints to the front. On the way to the front, give the last guy a tap so that he can drop down and start his burpees.
We did this for just under a half mile heading back to the flags. I pulled a slight detour to extend the run as I wanted to make sure each PAX got to go at least twice.
Thang 3 – Bozo’s Buckets
Grabbed our coupons and headed towards the playground. I took this concept from an EOP a couple of months ago led by Bozo. It sucked back then and it sucked today.
Round 1: 5 pulls ups, then run to the wall for a wall-sit until the 6 is in.
Round 2: 5 pullups, 15 thrusters. Wall-sit for the 6.
Round 3: 5 pullups, 15 Thrusters, 30 Coupon Curls. Wall-sit for the 6, then hold wall-sit for 30 seconds.
Round 4: 5 pullups, 15 Thrusters, 30 Coupon Curls, 45 Dips on the benches. Wall-sit for the 6, then hold wall-sit for 30 seconds.
Round 5: 5 pullups, 15 Thrusters, 30 Coupon Curls, 45 Dips on the benches, 60 Rocky Balboas on coupon (each leg is half). When done, grab coupon, mosey back to the flags, and hold plank for the 6.

I told PAX that I did not have anything super inspirational to say BUT that one of the things I really appreciate about this group is the ability to be vulnerable and have an outlet to just get things off your chest and off your heart.
Last week, July 27th, a distant friend of mine who I had not talked to in a few years, lost his 6 year old daughter. She was killed in a car accident that was caused due to an impaired driver who blew through a stop sign. Completely preventable. The thought of losing a child is something I cannot even fully process. My heart hurts for this family and all of their loved ones. Why did this happen? I also hurt for my friend (MH). As a parent, I know I take it extremely serious and personal that it is my job to protect my 2.0’s. MH was not involved in the accident itself and I am sure that has to be weighing on his soul. He lost his daughter and he was not there to protect her. I hope this is not something that he feels in his heart for too long. There truly is and was nothing he could have done to make things different. I pray for him and his family that they find peace and can somehow grieve and recover.
If I had to wrap this up somehow with a message, it would be to just love your kids, spouse, family, friends with ALL THAT YOU HAVE. You truly never know when it may be taken away. Don’t be so upset when your 2.0 walks in your room for the 4th time overnight for an extra snuggle. Don’t be so quick to get irritated by some bad behavior. Just love. Love them with everything.

It was great to get out and lead again here at the OP…my original Home AO. I am definitely going to miss Virtuosity and the amazing service that it provided for many PAX in Naperville AND across the nation, but I am glad to have such a great AO so close to home too. Now if COVID would just cooperate …
Thanks to all those that showed up. I will admit, I was a little anxious when I saw Roach Coach pull up. You want to make sure you can deliver a solid beatdown when a (former) Nantan shows up to your Q!
Honored, as always – Bean Counter
